1. No response when pressing Wipe Advance button on Lid.

Cartridge not properly inserted into or not making contact with Lid.

Remove Cartridge from Lid. Ensure pogo pins on lids and battery box are clean and re-insert fully into Lid.

Lid not properly closed.

Ensure Lid is completely closed with the 2 Latches (1 on each side of the Lid) engaged.

Lid Closing Switch is not working properly.

Open Lid and ensure the Lid Closing Switch is not damaged and can be depressed and spring back freely.

Battery power low

Replace batteries in cartridge (6 AA batteries required) or utilize new cartridge

No Wipe in the Canister.

Replace with new Canister.

Wipe is not engaging with Rollers.

Open Lid and ensure Wipe is placed on top of the Bottom Roller with 1-2 in. lead.

No Highlight in the Cartridge.

Replace with new Cartridge.

2. Motor runs but not dispensing Wipe.

3. Lid not dispensing Highlight onto Wipe.

Open Lid and ensure the Door can swing up and down freely.

6. Wipe not Re-advancing after Wipe Retraction.

Wipe is not engaging with Rollers after Wipe Retraction.

Open Lid and ensure Wipe is placed on top of the Bottom Roller with 1-2 in. lead.

7. Most of the color is fading, but some color residue is being left behind.

Inconsistent wiping technique and uneven disinfectant coverage.

Fold the wipe in half and wipe the surface with multiple passes to evenly and thoroughly distribute disinfectant coverage. Any color residue left behind can be wiped away with a wet paper towel or another disinfectant wipe.

The surface contains soil or residue, such as sticker residue.

Remove any soil, gross filth, or residue prior to applying Highlight in order to achieve effective disinfection on surfaces.

Bleach wipes are no longer at the right concentration of bleach (due to decay or expiration)

Confirm to make sure that sodium hypochlorite wipes are being used. Switch to a new canister or bucket of bleach wipes.

8. Less than 50% of the color is fading or not fading at all.

Problem: Blue color remains completely or mostly unfaded across wiped areas. 1) Not using a bleach-based disinfectant, or 2) the bleach wipes have expired or decayed. Solution: Try a new canister of bleach wipes that are within the expiration date." Note that it is possible for bleach wipes to decay before the expiration date.

the surface. Highlight color will adhere to soil or residue left on the surface (e.g. dirt, tape residue) or to porous surfaces (e.g. damaged equipment, certain types of paint). Evenly spreading Highlight means more thorough wiping, which will do a better job of removing any soil/residue and leave behind less color.

Color is consistently not fading in the same small spots or in crevices. Those spots are likely porous and might need to be replaced to avoid harboring pathogens. Crevices commonly can build up dirt/soil. Train cleaning staﬀ to do a 60 second walkthrough at the end of a room cleaning to remove any color residue on porous spots with a wet paper towel or bleach wipe. Thoroughly cleaning and removing dirt from crevices will prevent color residue from occuring in those areas in the future.
