GOOD DESIGN THAT BRINGS PEOPLE

TOGETHER

Inclusive design has been our motto for many years. A philosophy aimed at providing a comfortable place in the public space for all individuals, regardless of age, body type and functional ability. The overall objective is of course to bring people together and boost the time spent in places such as healthcare environments, cafés, offices and schools and thereby strengthening the human bond. Working for inclusive togetherness also means that we strive for sustainable solutions. Most of our product range is made of FSC® material (responsible forestry) and is certified according to Möbelfakta. We also offer services such as renovation of upholstery and frames. In this way, we reduce the exploitation of the earth’s resources while at the same time increasing the space for human togetherness and sustainable joy of life.

MAKE INFORMED CHOICES FOR SUSTAINABILITY How can we create a product with characteristics for as a long life as possible? At an early stage, we try to adapt our furniture construction, choice of materials and the area of application. Our goal for our products is that they can be reshaped, reconditioned and reused to extend its lifespan. By developing products where you create opportunities for updates, our target for our furniture is that they have simple removable upholstery and we try to avoid padding material glued on wood. Other updates can also be replacement of spare parts as well as other module extensions to extend the life of the product. We working with materials of good quality and conscious material- and resource management. By choosing pure materials as much as possible and raw material in our products should be traceable and from responsible sources. We perform quality test on all our products, cause through good quality we also create a safe, lasting and durable product. At NC we also having an internal circulation of exhibition furniture and we offer services such as renovation of upholstery and frames. In the future, we will hopefully see big changes, and I think we will change our habit and way of life. By moving away from always buying everything new, it´s becoming increasingly common to use different forms of services, such as renting furniture, tracking and identifying products to discover their different needs. Hope you follow us on our journey to a more circular economy. Moa Ulfsson Quality- and Sustainability Coordinator

SERIOUSLY SUSTAINABLE At NC we take our sustainability work seriously. A good way of showing that we keep what we promise is to make sure that our furniture meet certain standards. Out of all different available standards we have identified two that are comprehensive and meet most demands: Möbelfakta and FSC®. If these two standards are met, we meet most of the demands placed on us.
