Great fun was had on 3rd June at the Village Hall helping celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee with ‘A Right Royal Fun Quiz’ expertly organised by Richard & Adrienne Lewis and Judy Parnall.

Eight royally-themed teams competed, including ‘Crowning Glory’, ‘The Corgis’ and ‘The Jubilants’ – around 64 of the cleverest people in Kingswood! All the questions had a royal link which had us all racking our brains. I mean, who knew who Richard III’s brotherin-law’s sister’s cousin was? I jest, but ... it really got us all thinking. As is tradition at quizzes held in the Village Hall, at half time we were served with the most delicious fish and chip supper followed by ice-creams and washed down with our own favourite liquid refreshments.

After the totals had been counted up by our strict but jovial quizmasters Adrienne and Richard, it was neck and neck at the end, with the Royal Flush team taking the winner’s trophy.

All proceeds from this most enjoyable evening went to the NSPCC.
