Admissions Thank you for your application! Now that we have received your application here’s what’s next: ACTIVATE YOUR WESTERN IDENTITY: Your Western Identity is your key to central services at King’s at Western and consists of your User ID and Password. Your User ID or Username is a unique name that identifies you as a member of the Western community. This identity is assigned to you upon application or appointment to King’s at Western. The User ID cannot be changed. You can activate you Western Identity HERE SET UP YOUR WESTERN EMAIL ACCOUNT: With access to your Western email account, you can check the status of your application, apply for residence and receive important communication. Please be sure to activate your email right away so you don’t miss any important deadlines. Access your Western email account HERE
Admissions and Documents Early offers of admission begin in December and continue on an ongoing basis from January to July as additional grades become available.
Transcripts All applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all secondary and post secondary institutions attended*. Prompt and early submission of documents is highly recommended. Now that you have applied, please make arrangements to have your transcripts sent to King’s. *If you are a current High Ontario High School Student applying through the OUAC, your grades will be submitted to King’s automatically.
Current University and College Transfers can send transcripts via the OUAC transcript request service, electronically or by mail in a sealed envelop directly to King’s Enrolment Services or info@kings.uwo.ca. For all other applicants please send transcripts and documents to info@kings.uwo.ca.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Use our admission requirements search tool to determine admission requirements, program pre-requisites, English proficiency requirements and more. Learn more HERE SUPPLEMENTAL DOCUMENTATION: King’s makes it possible for you to submit your supporting documents in a digital format. This includes, Applicant Profile, Self Reported grades (non-Ontario High School applicants) and the Catholic Studies for Teachers Application. Access the forms HERE APPLICANT PROFILE: Kings recognizes that extenuating circumstances and extra-curricular activities can affect an individual’s academic performance. This Applicant Profile is voluntary. If you have not achieved the admissions average, but expect to earn a minimum of 77.5%, we encourage you to submit this form. ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: Students admitted to King’s University College must be proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your first language, you must provide proof of your proficiency in listening, speaking, writing and reading English. Typically, this is done through an official test or ESL program. We reserve the right to ask anybody to provide proof of English language proficiency. Find more information about accepted tests, and our English Language Partners HERE TRANSFER CREDIT: Transfer credits are determined at the point of admission. Transfer credit assigned for previous postsecondary studies will be outlined in your offer of admission. Once you have accepted your offer of admission you will work with an Academic Advisor to determine how your transfer credits apply to your program of study at King’s. HOW TO CHECK YOUR APPLICATION: The Western Student Center has your most up-to-date application status. You can also check your application status on the OUAC. If you applied through the OUAC you must accept your offer of admission on the OUAC. You can access the Western Student Center HERE CONDITIONAL OFFERS: Conditional offers of admission are based on course work in progress and require successful completion of your course with a minimum final overall average outlined in your offer of admission.

Scholarships
In addition to our generous, automatic entrance scholarships, King’s offers a range of scholarships that recognize volunteerism, financial need, community engagement and leadership. Students must apply by April 30th to be considered for these additional scholarships and awards. View the full list HERE. All scholarships are based on the final admission average and include program pre-requisites. To be eligible for entrance scholarships, students must remain registered in 4.0 courses (students must meet residency requirements). Exceptions may be made for varsity athletes, members of Student Council, or those registered with Accessibility Services.

Student Financial Services Financing your university education can be a challenge. King’s recognizes this challenge and is able to provide support and a variety of services to assist our students. King’s offers an on-campus employment program for students with financial need called the Work Study Bursary Program. This program assists students with a regular source of income and works around their academic schedule and to provide training and experience. More information can be found HERE. International students also have the opportunity to work on campus through our International Work Experience Program (IWE). This program will provide a limited number of international students the opportunity to work on campus and gain valuable experience. Learn more HERE. Personal and confidential financial counselling is available to all of our students and includes; help understanding and applying for the OSAP program, financial seminars and workshops on best way to spend/save money, budgeting and more. Residence / Making the Transition
Live in the Heart of King’s Residence is more than just a convenient place to live—it’s a vibrant, supportive community committed to the values of diversity, respect and academic achievement. King’s University College provides on-campus housing for approximately 400 students. Living in residence puts you next door to all the facilities at King’s, including food services, the library, your classes, and bus service to Western and the City of London. All first year applicants who received an offer of academic admission to King’s are offered guaranteed residence until the established deadline date (typically June 3rd). You will receive your offer of residence in your academic offer package. Residence space may be available after the guaranteed deadline date; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Meal plans are available for both Residence and Off-Campus students.
Making the Transition King’s is committed to ensuring a smooth transition to your first year of studies at university. A wide variety of programming has been established to provide the resources you will need to be successful. BE.BECOME.BELONG The Be. Become. Belong series is a collaborative program with multiple departments at King’s who are focused on helping students succeed. New and returning programming and resources are designed to ensure you have the necessary tools to help you succeed in your first year of studies at King’s and beyond. SUMMER ACADEMIC ORIENTATION (SAO) As of April 1, you can book your summer academic counselling appointment. These academic advising appointments will assist you in making important decisions about your first-year, course selection, timetable and degree options/planning. Learn more HERE. KAMP The King’s Academic Mentoring Program (KAMP) is a peermentoring program that pairs first-year students with an upper-year student who can help navigate the transitions experienced in first year. INTERNATIONAL PEER GUIDE PROGRAM The King’s International Peer Guide Program is designed to assist international and exchange students new to King’s with adjustment to university culture and Canadian life. Learn more HERE.
INTERNATIONAL BRIDGING PROGRAM This program provides an opportunity for international students to transition to life at King’s a week prior to Orientation Week. Learn more HERE.
ORIENTATION WEEK Orientation week is the best way for students new to King’s to begin to feel connected to their new home. O-Week is designed to help you learn how to succeed on campus academically and socially—both in your first year and throughout your university experience. ADMISSIONS GUIDE 2024

Accessibility Services We are committed to providing an accessible barrier–free learning environment with services geared toward a wide variety of needs. This may include academic accommodation, assistive technology, and alternative–to–print materials among others. possible to make an appointment with an Accessibility Counsellor to discuss academic accommodations for the Fall/ Winter term, and to learn how they can assist in making the university experience a positive and rewarding one.
Indigenous Students King’s is committed to supporting Indigenous Students in reaching their highest potential through encouragement, culturally-responsive programming, and

King’s International King’s has more than 700 international students from 23 different countries. King’s International offers a variety of programs and services for both international and domestic students. IMMIGRATION INFORMATION: Most international students require a study permit to study in Canada. On arrival in Canada a study permit and visitor’s permit (if applicable) must be presented to border officials to gain entry into Canada.
