City of Kingston is proud to present our premier event, the Mordialloc Food Wine and Music Festival. Held over two days, Mordi Fest features non-stop music across three stages, showcasing local and international artists.

Mordi fest also features roving performers and kids’ activities providing family friendly fun. Don’t forget this event is family-friendly, smoke-free and no dogs or BYO alcohol are allowed. Walking, cycling or using public transport is recommended. Mordi Fest is a short walk from Mordialloc Train Station. The following buses travel to Mordialloc: 705, 706, 708, 709, 811, 811/812, 812, 903. Plan your journey at ptv.vic.gov.au Please bring a bottle of water and remember to wear a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. Free sunscreen will be available at the information booth. And free water at the South East Water free water station. ATM on site.

VAUDEVILLE SMASH SATURDAY HEADLINER @9PM
Made up of three brothers and two mates, no other Australian band sounds like them. Get ready to dance, as Vaudeville Smash’s sound can only be described as an explosion of funk, flute, sax, synth and groove. Since their first gig at Fitzroy’s Bar Open in September 2009, Vaudeville Smash has carved their own niche, building a formidable following in their hometown of Melbourne and around the world. They have performed twice at South by South West in Austin, shows in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Toronto for Canadian Music Week, the Australian Open Tennis, six shows at the Woodford Folk Festival and the main stage at St Kilda Festival.

Moorabbin’s own industrial BBQ specialists, Big Pig Little Pig are teaming up with Wolf of the Willows, matched to complement organic freerange slow cooked meats rubbed with a special blend of spices. Melbourne Paella Company will create premium paella, matched with sangria. Cooked fresh onsight, enjoy watching the experience unfold before your eyes. Gluten, dairy and nut free. Since the release of his 2013 album, Guargantua, Ash’s voice, disdain and his power have grown. He’s taken tools to his trademark dreads and without hesitation walked away from an aesthetic that had defined him for 20 years. Ash has worked alongside Record Producer Nick DiDia, of Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam fame and brought in Ian Perez keyboardist for Wolfmother and Pete Wilkins, former drummer for Blue King Brown to create his latest album NOW. Experience his musical transformation this Mordi Fest.

Formed in Perth in 1989, The Blackeyed Susans have built a reputation for their moody romanticism and op-shop stylings. Declared national treasures by Rolling Stone magazine, they have toured the world, played with the likes of Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen and released numerous albums of occasional beauty.

FUN for the kidDOS While there’s no shortage of adult activities at Mordi Fest, we definitely haven’t forgotten about the kids! Twinkles Face Painting and Balloon Twisting will be on-site creating a world of magic for the little ones, and for those wanting to get crafty.
the whale’s tale Kingston Arts Centre present The Whale’s Tale, an interactive performance which spectators are encouraged to get involved with. When a humpback whale is discovered stranded in a park by a small child, the mission led by the oversized ‘Dr Walrus’ begins to help the whale to head back to sea. With large scale inflatables, puppets and performers, this outdoor large-scale spectacle is something for the whole family to enjoy. Performing twice daily at Mordi Fest 2019.
From Powderfinger to solo artist and creator of film scores, Darren Middleton has certainly made his mark on the Australian music scene. Always enjoying a jam, Darren brings his versatility and love of music to Kingston’s stage this Mordi Fest.
TONES & I TONES AND I is Toni “Tones” Watson, an independent Australian solo artist from the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Tones began her musical journey in 2016 with a broken keyboard and a cheap loop pedal. She ventured up to Byron Bay in late 2017 in her old van to try her hand at busking. In just two nights, she’d made more money than she’d been making in a week of her day job and was shut down by police, because her crowds were spilling onto the road.
JAMES KENYON James Kenyon’s music is the soundtrack to the great Australian road movie. Think a road trip with Paul Kelly and Don Walker up front with Bruce Springsteen (circa Nebraska) and Iron & Wine in the back seat. Emotive, harsh, dry, beautiful and poetic- these are striking, finely crafted songs that will haunt and captivate.
MOULETTES UK Moulettes are an English eclectic Art Rock band that combines elements of Rock, Prog, Folk and Pop. The band was formed in 2002 in Glastonbury, England and this is their first tour in Australia.
BEC SANDRIDGE Indie, pop, rock artist Bec Sandridge was the winner of Triple J Unearthed’s Yours and Owls competition in 2015. With a sound somewhere between Blondie and Kate Bush, Bec has gone on to release the single I’ll Never want a Boyfriend and has performed to sold out shows in Sydney.
MIA DYSON Mia Dyson may have found her true voice. The Australian artist’s new album ‘If I Said Only So Far I Take It Back’ is stuffed with bluesy-rock numbers and has been described as her magnum opus.
19 TWENTY 19-Twenty have been whipping up a frenzy on the festival scene. They are electric. An infectious riff and groove based blue-billygrass-rockin’-roots band.
