The Libraries’ contribution to the Kingston Seniors Festival covers a vast range of events including practical workshops to get tech-savvy and a gardening workshop with Jane Edmanson OAM (see page 4). Join a workshop to learn about bush tukka and it’s uses or create your own stunning flower arrangement in our Ikebana workshop (see page 5). Take a digital holiday with virtual reality technology, talk about your favourite books, or join a knitting group for some social downtime (see page 7). As it warms up, get in touch with nature by joining a backyard bird count this October (see page 8) or find out how to build a sensory garden (see page 10).

There’s so much on for the kids including storytime, library school holiday activities, and the upcoming BIG Summer Read (see page 9). Community members of any age residing in the City of Kingston who are: • Unable to visit the library due to poor health or mobility challenges • Full-time carers who are unable to visit the library during opening hours • Residents in aged care • People recovering from an injury or illness who require the service temporarily • Children whose parents or guardian fit the above criteria. All year round, Kingston Libraries offer a free home delivery service to local residents who are unable to access the library independently. HOW DOES THE HOME LIBRARY SERVICE WORK? Once a month, eligible community members receive a delivery of library items to their door. Upon joining the service, you’re able to let us know the types of items you like to borrow from the library. Our friendly team of librarians and volunteers then select items on your behalf based on your preferences. What can I borrow?
