What’s On January – June 2026
Message from the Mayor
Welcome to another inspiring season at Kingston Arts. As we step into the first half of 2026, our arts spaces are once again alive with creativity, community spirit and opportunities to connect. In Kingston, the Arts bring us together — to celebrate stories, spark imagination and showcase the remarkable talent found within our city. This program captures that beautifully, offering something for every interest and every age. I’m delighted to invite you to explore a vibrant mix of theatre, music, comedy, visual art, film and creative workshops. Our free live music series, Sunday Sounds, will bring City Hall to life across February, March and April. We’re also thrilled to present remarkable stories from our local community, Sea Wolves Howl, an intimate performance at the Shirley Burke Theatre in June. Art lovers can experience free exhibitions throughout the year, spanning three beautiful gallery spaces, our bridge projection site and the 24/7 outdoor lightbox gallery. We also invite local artists to submit their applications for our Magnify Artist in Residence program will be open throughout April and May. Our much-loved Comedy at the Shirley series returns, continuing its tradition of sell-out nights and a platform for Australia’s emerging comedians. And for our seniors community, Morning Melodies and Moviehouse offer joyful musical theatre experiences and nostalgic film screenings each week. Thank you for your ongoing support of Kingston’s creative community. Your enthusiasm keeps our cultural heartbeat strong and makes our city an inspiring place to live, work and visit. I hope you enjoy the season ahead. Cr Georgina Oxley Mayor, City of Kingston
