A message from Mr Michael Radford, Head of Fairstead House
I am absolutely delighted to announce that Fairstead House has achieved a congratulatory report in their recent ISI Framework 23 Inspection. This success is a testament to the tireless dedication and passion of our entire school community—staff, pupils, and parents alike.
The Inspectors commended the breadth and depth of our academic and co-curricular programmes, highlighting the holistic approach we take to education, which nurtures not only intellectual growth but also personal and social development. We are immensely proud of the achievements of our pupils and the hard work of our staff, which has been recognised in such glowing terms by the Inspection Team.
In particular, I am thrilled to share that the inspectors observed, that all areas of the registered Early Years setting were outstanding! Highlights include:
• ‘children’s welfare is a top priority, with their needs being met promptly and effectively’
• ‘staff meticulously plan a comprehensive, well-sequenced and ambitious curriculum with clear goals’
• ‘children make outstanding progress from their starting points aided by the staff’s thorough understanding of their development’

Inspectors also observed the ‘positive and welcoming environment’ where ‘pupils feel happy and secure, displaying high levels of selfconfidence’; and ‘are polite, highly respectful and caring towards each other’.
In addition, through lesson observations, inspectors noted the ‘enthusiasm and confidence in sport and physical activities’, the ‘high quality musical education and foreign language teaching’ and the ‘effective questioning [that] encourages pupils to think critically, which in turn develops their understanding’.
This truly reflects the high standards we strive for every day as a tightknit community. This result reinforces our commitment to maintaining a nurturing, ambitious, and forward-thinking environment where every student can thrive. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to provide an exceptional education for our pupils.
