SIXTH FORM
I t has been quite a journey for all of the students in the Six th Form this year. The Year 13s refined decisions about their future, completing universit y applications to a number of countries globally, including the UK , US, Canada, Europe and the UAE, and celebrated as offers came in. S ome Year 13 students worked tirelessly to prepare for entrance tests, inter views, auditions and to prepare por tfolios; oppor tunities to showcase their sk ills tak ing them one step closer to being offered a place, whilst continuing to balance the demands of their academic subjec ts. S everal students completed their Ex tended Projec t Question on topics var ying from the impac t of blockchain technology on economies to censorship in China; all shining examples of the academic maturit y these students have been able to reach through their post 16 journey.

The Six th Form has of ten been buzzing with universit y fairs and exper t speakers to suppor t students as they make choices about their nex t steps, as well as a range of career oppor tunities being available. The Year 12s attended an I nnovation dap camp at Noor bank , enabling a glance into the work ings of corporate strategy and Design Thinking.

As Year 12 students have navigated increased ownership for their independent study, they have demonstrated increased levels of independence and responsibilit y, as well as developing a better understanding of themselves. They took over the helm of the new Student Leadership programme, a legac y of Musab and Haya as the previous Head Girl and Head Boy, enabling them to have a huge impac t on many areas across both the school and the wider communit y. As well as playing key roles at school events and ac ting as excellent ambassadors for K ings’ and the KSAB values, the Six th Form students have taken a lead on events such as K-Fac tor through the BTEC programme. They excelled as House Captains, executing student events such as Universit y Challenge. Even throughout the distance learning period, they continue to play a key role through the design of tutor time themes.
