CONGRATULATIONS TO DUTY MANAGER NICK WHO COMPLETED HIS FIRST TRIATHLON THIS MONTH!

Y T I R A H C F F STA T N E M A N R U O T L L A B T O FO 2026 Another successful Staff Charity Football Tournament took place at Birleys on rd Wednesday 3 June, bringing together colleagues from across the school for a fantastic afternoon of competition and fundraising.

Teams representing Catering, Sports Centre, Academics, Gardens & Grounds, and Premises battled it out on the field, with the Sports Centre emerging victorious and lifting the 2026 trophy Well done Team!!

THE EVENT RAISED £174.00 FOR THIS YEAR’S CHOSEN CHARITY, THE AIR AMBULANCE KENT SURREY SUSSEX

Jack completed the Maverick Peak District 55km Ultra in 7 hours 40 minutes. A 55km trail race with 1,214m of elevation which covered steep climbs, rocky descents, moorland and river valleys.

WELL DONE JACK He also completed Super Seven, a fitness endurance challenge. The event combined functional fitness with endurance-based challenges, Jack completed this in 1 hour 20 minutes.

CONGRATULATIONS Kirsty has graduated with a First Class Honors Degree in SEN + Inclusion studies Her reaserch has also been selected to go in an exibition at a event for her University at the Turner Contemporary in July!

Mandatory Compliance: Smoking and E-Cigarettes Smoking of cigarettes and e-cigarettes is not permitted on any of the school sites. Any employee who wishes to smoke must do so during official break periods and away from the premises or in designated smoking areas.

Please note: Due to operational requirements within the Sports Centre, staff breaks must remain on site; therefore, leaving the premises to smoke during shifts is not permitted.

This policy is in place to ensure we maintain a safe, healthy, and professional environment for our students, visitors, and one another.

Failure to adhere to this policy may result in formal action in line with the school’s procedures.

Annual Leave A reminder that all annual leave st must be booked by 31 August.

To help with planning and staffing arrangements, please submit your requests in advance via iTrent.

CLEANING AND MEMBER ETIQUETTE Please can we all ensure the below is considered when cleaning changing areas or other areas within the centre while we remain operational.

Staff should avoid entering changing rooms to carry out cleaning shortly after closing where members are still using the facilities. Please allow members to use these areas uninterrupted wherever possible (unless impactful to timings).

There are other areas of the centre that can and should be cleaned during this time.

Staff should remain aware of members and their belongings when hosing down and squeegeeing changing rooms, ensuring this is done considerately and without impacting those who may still be using the space.

Please maintain appropriate member etiquette and professionalism at all times while on shift. We want to ensure members have a positive experience and feel comfortable within the centre, while also allowing staff to complete their duties safely and effectively.

ALL STAFF PARTY FRI| 3RD | JULY The whole staff party will be an informal event on Green Court (hopefully in the sun) from 3pm6pm, and will follow a similar format to last year. Food and drink will be provided from a selection of street food trucks and there will be a free bar.
