Chris “Mr. Mental Health” Melville

The dichotomy of life. Upon birth we see the light, not knowing the path has been set generations beforehand. Our attachments, bonding us to how we live, love and experience the world. With innocence we are given identity.

We are important to somebody, but don’t try to be for everybody. Its community because it's where you belong and if you don’t fit it be brave enough to create your own Establish yourself through your attitude, behavior and character and always try to keep composure

hat is King Kojo? Some may perceive this as the highest degree of arrogance. However, it's a complete contradiction to that At 20 years old my mother decided to change her entire name Striping herself of European assimilation met with criticism and backlash, she stood confidently in her independence. Kojo means unconquerable! A four letter name that packs so much power. Along my journey as an artist, I've found myself in moments of self deprecation, self doubt, and uncertainty of self These feelings were fueled both by doubtful opinions of others and a lack of self assurance I've wrestled with myself for such a long time, I didn't realize all I had to do was accept myself & stay true to myself. Meaning striping myself of opinions, labels, and beliefs put onto me.

"If you’re an artist with an unsupportive loved one, Step into your power!" Standing firm in what my heart believes in and how my soul wants to manifest in this world. Reinforcing my bold actions of self at 20 years old. I've used my last name Kojo as a way to embody that confidence To be unshaken against all odds, deaf to naysayers, the doubt, the questions, the destructive criticism, TO BE UNCONQUERABLE!

"If you’re changing your identity with scornful statements, Step into your power!"

"If it’s anything that makes you great, Step into your power!"

What does your tribe look like in full effect? Is the contact confusing or do you come correct? Defend your honor, what do you protect? We speak in love but it is spoken different dialects Don't ask for less if they can't handle what you giving now Some things are not for you, aint wrong to gracefully bow out But truthfully if I am honest, I guess my tongue is tired

Portraying images less true of darker sides

The thoughts are have, ideas I keep, a lil sick, I admit, between my teeth I smile bright so people don't see the sadness hiding in-between These brown eyes so filled with curiosity I've built up animosity as to why Niggas can't just disappear or better yet assess they pride

When's there's a problem and I'm accused to accountable, I-Create a riot, get destructive like the Capitol Might Set shit on fire, SAID I WAS TIRED, it shouldn't have to go this way I shouldn't have to put up my walls cause these people love causing pain Its hard to see in the good in what I am I wish I could think different and grip to be able to understand That I'm not this shitty monster I reflect I'm a messed up human being with a great sense of intellect Ain't just the outer shell that's black And beautiful in it's fashion I've started to reel back, they think I'm way too passive Body small but my ego massive Something once charged you probably can't manage I see them starving for my energy and yet I cause them famine I'm famished

How tdareme ry to defeatME

"You wake up early, before the rats come out. You stretch a lil, smoke a lil, sing a lil, get your mind right, put on your fresh*ss fit and get ready to conquer the fucking world. This is the recipe to be “dat nigg*."

"You are a God. Once you realize your power and perfect your magic spells, nothing can lower your frequency. You will create the world you want. You are magical. I am the proof. " Tatiyana Alvarez
