OUR STORY In 1977, David King and his mother, Gwen, began handcrafting furniture from their family home in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

Demand quickly grew as David began to push the boundaries of what furniture could achieve.

A family owned and operated business built from the ground up, we pride ourselves on design, innovation and comfort. Today we are a heritage global brand and an Australian household name – our story was built on a desire to do things differently. And that’s what our people do every day.

INNOVATION Delivering unrivalled custom comfort Integrated Smart Pockets™ allow customers to connect wireless charge tables, reading lights, speakers and more, while high-tech recliners and gesture control bring a new level of relaxation.

STEEL FRAME A foundation designed to last—giving a lifetime of comfort and support. Ordinary sofas have wooden frames, staples, dowels and glue that can become unstuck, warp and creak over time.

Our sofas feature an engineered steel frame backed by a 25year steel frame warranty. The steel frame works alongside the Postureflex® Seating System – delivering the ultimate support and comfort our brand is known for.

EXPLORE YOUR FIRST DAY WELCOME ORIENTATION Your manager or a team member will greet you, provide your welcome pack and take you on an office tour to meet key colleagues. We’ll also take your photo for your team introduction and our Values Wall display.

GETTING STARTED Your laptop and key equipment will be arranged, and the IT team will help you access your email and tools.

LEARNING MORE Start with an overview of our history, values, and goals. To help you settle in, join your team or a buddy for lunch.

UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE Your manager will organise a one-on-one to go over your responsibilities, expectations, and onboarding goals. There will also be time to settle into your workspace.

MEETING KEY PEOPLE Each department facilitates introductions in its own way, ensuring you get to know your team and key colleagues across the business.

These meet-and-greets will help you understand the bigger picture of how we work together.

WRAPPING UP Before the day ends, we’ll check in, answer any questions, and outline what’s next. By the end of the day, you’ll have a solid feel for the team, the office, and your new role.

BUDDY PROGRAM Our Buddy Program pairs new team members with experienced colleagues to guide and support them.

Buddies help you settle in, navigate workplace culture, and build connections. They’ll answer questions, share insights, and help you understand our unique way of working.

LOCATION & PARKING The King Living Design and Support Centre is located at 123 Turrella Street, Turrella NSW 2217.

Parking is available onsite at the rear of the office.

There is also ample street parking.

Access to our staff parking onsite can be arranged on your first day. Our IT team will provide you with a security pass which grants access to enter anad exit the carpark.

The closest train stations are Turrella (T8 Line) and Wolli Creek (T8 and T4 Lines).
