REPLAS | COMPANY PROFILE
Our Purpose
At Replas, our mission is to provide sustainable, globallyresponsible alternatives to products that are traditionally made from virgin plastic, timber or concrete.
Using our innovative processes and technology that we’ve refined over our 40-year journey, we strive to manufacture products that are not only durable and reliable in their own right, but made from the highest percentage of problematic, end-of-life plastic delivering an environmental solution without any sacrifice on quality.
We aim to provide premium circular products, custom solutions and a comprehensive product range to service mining, civil, infrastructure, councils, parks and recreation and the wider community. Our commitment to sustainability drives us to find new ways to repurpose Australia’s end-of-life plastic materials, reducing waste and contributing to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Polyolefin plastic constitutes a significant portion of end-of-life plastics, often ending up in landfills. Replas is dedicated to repurposing these plastics due to their substantial environmental advantages. By diverting them from landfills, we contribute to waste reduction and resource preservation.
REPLAS | COMPANY PROFILE
Environmental, Corporate and Social Responsibility
As Australia’s leading mixed recycled plastic manufacturer, Replas is a passionate and committed member of the circular economy.
It’s widely known that plastic lasts too long; forever, in fact. It’s this problem that inspired our founders and continues to drive us in improving our products and processes, including UV stabilisers to reduce degradation and a promise of 85% recycled material or better in every Replas product. By repurposing these end-of-life plastics, we’re turning the problem into the solution and minimising their impact on the planet.
Each product we produce not only diverts problematic plastic from landfill but is low-maintenance, durable and an ethical alternative to traditional materials. What’s more, our products have been designed to be recyclable themselves, closing the loop as part of a circular economy for situations of repair and replacement, or when they simply reach their own end of life.
Our sustainable practices and environmental commitment extends beyond our products themselves, with solar installations at all sites and conscious, manufacturing practices to produce only what is needed.
Replas partners with community groups and social-enterprise initiatives such as WDEA Works, Ballarat Regional Industries and McCallum Disability Services along with local councils, schools and more to share our mission and embrace our communities.

Case Study: North Queensland
The Edge Lookout
THE PROBLEM THE SOLUTION
Dawson Engineering won a contract to build an observation lookout at The Edge Lookout in North Queensland following tourist recommendation to the government. The goal was to provide a safe and durable space for visitors to take in the scenic views, on the edge of the world’s oldest rainforests. The challenge was constructing a structure using non-traditional materials that could withstand the climate.
Dawson Engineering contacted Replas seeking a solution for the challenging rainforest climate in North Queensland to build an observation lookout. They came to know about our Enduroplank™ decking, which they believed would be the perfect fit. Enduroplank™ is made from over 90% recycled plastic and is strong, durable and virtually maintenance-free. Additionally, it’s available in various colours.
Civil + Infrastructure
CIVIL & UTILITIES
Our repurposed plastic is versatile and excellent for civil contracts, utility projects and water utilities. With natural resistance to degradation, it offers long-lasting reliability. Additionally, being non-conductive, it ensures safety in electrical environments. Choose Replas for sustainable solutions for your projects.
BOLLARDS
Repurposed plastic is the ideal material for bollards, as they withstand the elements, repel bugs and have a lower environmental impact than other building materials. Bollards are a critical component of any barrier system, so why not choose an eco-friendly option that makes sense.
Our repurposed plastic fencing provides a sustainable and durable alternative to traditional materials. Unlike wood or metal, it resists insect damage, rust, and corrosion in the Australian climate. Additionally, our low-maintenance fence posts and components are fully recyclable.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Our plastic materials work especially well for speed humps and traffic management devices. They are durable, malleable, and effectively slow down vehicles. They can also be moulded into different shapes and colours, and cause less damage to cars compared to metal or concrete barriers.

THE SOLUTION
With its natural wood look, the Replas Arris Fence™ blended seamlessly into the surrounding environment and was rolled out. With bollards and posts made of over 90% recycled plastic materials, the Replas Arris Fence provided a long-lasting, durable and low-maintenance sustainable solution without compromising on aesthetics, adding to the overall charm of this beloved public space.
