Day One: Arrival in Page
We’ll leave the Valley this morning as we head north toward the cool mountain air of Flagstaff. Late morning, we’ll enjoy lunch on self in historic downtown Flagstaff, where a wide variety of local restaurants, cafés, and familiar favorites offer something for everyone. After lunch, we’ll take time to explore the charming streets lined with galleries, bookshops, and interesting local stores before continuing north. As the scenery opens to wide desert vistas and striking rock formations, we’ll make our scenic drive to Page, where the Colorado River meets Lake Powell. By late afternoon, we’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Page–Lake Powell, our home for the next two nights. After time to relax, we’ll head out for dinner on self at The Dam Bar & Grille, a longtime local favorite known for classic comfort dishes in a casual setting. Enjoy a free evening afterward.
Day Two: Colorado River Rafting Adventure & Dinner
Breakfast is included at the hotel before we set out for one of the most memorable experiences of the tour. This morning we’ll travel to Lee’s Ferry to begin our Horseshoe Bend Raft Trip, operated by Wilderness River Adventures. This smoothwater float offers a wonderfully relaxing way to experience the dramatic beauty of the Colorado River and Glen Canyon perfect for travelers seeking adventure without whitewater. After a short scenic drive, we’ll board a comfortable motorized pontoon raft for approximately three hours on the river. Towering sandstone cliffs rise more than a thousand feet above us, creating a peaceful yet awe-inspiring setting. Along the way, professional guides share engaging narration about the region’s geology, Indigenous history, and early river exploration. We’ll pass petroglyph sites, watch for wildlife, and enjoy unforgettable views as the river winds toward the iconic curve of Horseshoe Bend all from the calm comfort of the raft. Lunch and bottled water are included today. A boxed lunch from Subway will be enjoyed onboard the pontoons, allowing you to relax and take in the scenery without interruption. Later this afternoon, we’ll return to the hotel with time to refresh before heading out for a group dinner, included, to cap off a memorable day.
Day Three: Upper Antelope Canyon & Journey Home
Breakfast is included at the hotel before we set out for an unforgettable morning exploring some of the most iconic scenery in the Southwest. Today we’ll visit Upper Antelope Canyon, located on Navajo land and accessible only by guided tour. Known as the more accessible of the two canyons, Upper Antelope Canyon features a flat, sandy floor with no stairs, making it easier to navigate while still offering a truly breathtaking experience. The canyon is shaped like an “A,” with narrow passageways that open above, allowing beams of light (when conditions are right) to filter down and illuminate the swirling sandstone walls in stunning shades of orange, red, and gold. These smooth, wave-like formations have made it one of the most photographed slot canyons in the world. As you consider this experience, it’s helpful to know that while the walking is relatively easy, the canyon can be sandy and uneven in spots, and tours move at a steady pace. All travelers should be comfortable completing approximately one mile of walking within an hour. Our local Navajo guides will lead the way, sharing insights into the canyon’s formation and helping point out some of the most striking features along the route. Travelers with mobility concerns are encouraged to call the office prior to booking to ensure this experience is a good fit. Following our canyon experience, we’ll begin our journey home with a stop for lunch on self at Cameron Trading Post, where the expansive menu offers something for everyone and there’s time to browse Native American arts and gifts. We’ll then continue home with scenic stops along the way, arriving back in the Valley by early evening.

DAY 1: ARRIVE BOSTON
Upon arrival in Boston, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your Boston area hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy the evening at leisure in this historic city filled with amazing restaurants.

DAY 2: BOSTON SIGHTSEEING
Today, enjoy a Boston City Tour featuring Boston Commons, the Old State House, the Old North Church from where Paul Revere got the signal to start his famous ride, the Old South Meeting House, Beacon Hill, and Old Ironsides. Visit the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, located in downtown Boston near the waterfront and originally gifted to the city in 1742. Enjoy lunch and shopping in this area, which also features Quincy Market, added to the complex due to Boston’s growth in 1826. Later, visit the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum, which is dedicated to the memory of our nation’s thirty-fifth president. Located on Boston’s waterfront, the Library & Museum is set on a 10-acre park landscaped to be reminiscent of President Kennedy’s beloved Cape Cod. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner.

DAY 3: BOSTON – BURLINGTON
After breakfast, travel to the scenic town of Woodstock, often referred to as America’s Prettiest Town, with its colonial architecture and New England charm. Visit the Billings Farm & Museum, a modern working dairy farm and history museum of Vermont life in the 1890s. This afternoon, pass through quaint villages and mountain scenery before arriving in Burlington for a two-night stay in the famous and historic Vermont mountain town.

DAY 4: VERMONT SIGHTSEEING
Visit the Shelburne Museum, located in Vermont’s scenic Lake Champlain Valley and one of the nation’s finest, most diverse, and unconventional museums of art and Americana. Later, visit Cold Hollow Cider Mill, one of the largest apple cider mills in New England and known for cold-pressed cider. Also visit the home of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, founded in 1978 in a renovated gas station. Enjoy a brief factory tour and a scoop of one of the creative flavors. DAY 5: MAPLE SUGAR FARM – GRANITE STATE SCENIC RAILROAD – WHITE MOUNTAINS
This morning, visit a Maple Sugar Farm to sample some authentic Vermont maple sweets and learn about the sugaring process. Later, board the Granite State Scenic Railway in Lincoln, formerly known as the Hobo Railroad. The picturesque 80-minute experience rides along the banks of the Pemigewasset River and through the woods on a historic rail system that dates back to the late 1800s. DAY 6: MT. WASHINGTON COG – NORTH CONWAY
This morning, board the historic Mount Washington Cog Railway. Enjoy breathtaking vistas during the three-hour rail experience aboard the world’s first (1869) mountain-climbing Cog Railway to the top of the highest peak in the Northeast, Mount Washington. Then travel to the small town of North Conway for some leisure and shopping time. Continue on one of New England’s most popular scenic drives, the Kancamagus Highway. DAY 7: WHITE MOUNTAINS – PORTLAND
After breakfast, board your motorcoach and enjoy the scenery as you travel from the mountains to the coast. Arrive in Portland, Maine’s largest city, which sits on a peninsula jutting out into beautiful island-filled Casco Bay. Visit the Victoria Mansion, also known as the Morse-Libby House, the nation’s premier showpiece of Victorian architecture. Arrive at your hotel for a two-night stay in Portland. DAY 8: PORTLAND
Today, enjoy a scenic Casco Bay Cruise past lovely Victorian cottages on the shorelines of Little & Great Diamond Island. Then enjoy some leisure time for shopping and lunch on your own in Old Port, Portland’s historic waterfront. Later, visit the Portland Head Lighthouse & Museum in Cape Elizabeth, one of America’s oldest and most photographed lighthouses. Tonight, enjoy a Lobster Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.
