The Academy of Music opened its doors in 1857 and has been showcasing some of the world’s best artists and performers. Today the theater is widely used for a variety of performances from Broadway to comedians, musicians and orchestras. The hall was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

The Academy of Music Ballroom ushers in a return to traditional elegance and gracious entertaining in a landmark setting overlooking the Avenue of the Arts. Shimmering chandeliers and hand-gilded walls create an oasis of refined luxury, a classic setting for weddings, and celebrations.
MILLER THEATER
The Miller Theater, formerly the Merriam Theater and the Sam S. Shubert Theatre, is Philadelphia’s most continuous location for touring Broadway show theatre. Katherine Hepburn performed in this elegant proscenium theater. So did Sir Lawrence Olivier, Helen Hayes, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Al Jolson, and many an unnamed burlesque dancers.
