DEAR FRIENDS, Starting a brand new season is truly an electrifying time! As diverse as our beloved city itself, the art forms and genres explored over the 2017/18 season will create a tapestry that truly spotlights the culture that made Philadelphia a world-class entertainment destination.
The 2017/18 season will be a celebration of milestones. The Broadway Philadelphia season is our largest to date with 133 performances and 13 productions with a combined 31 Tony Awards! We are thrilled to bring blockbusters like Disney’s Aladdin, Waitress, and The Color Purple from Broadway to Broad Street. This wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated support of our subscribers. 2018 ushers in the return of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) from May 31–June 10 with world premiere performances by international artists, including Crystal Palace by Transe Express, French artists that thrilled over 200,000 people during our 2011 PIFA Street Fair. Milestones lie ahead for our eight renowned Resident Companies, including Opera Philadelphia’s highly-anticipated O17 Festival and the promotion of 13 Pennsylvania Ballet dancers; plus hundreds of special occasions taking place on our Campus like weddings, graduations, and engagements. As you peruse all of the offerings within these pages, we hope you find new ways to deepen your connection with the arts, including educational opportunities and free programming. Sign up for our Ovation e-newsletter to be the first to know everything happening on our Campus, and follow us on social media for a “behind-the-scenes” look at how we transform lives daily through the arts!
