Salute to Military May 20
B
rigadier General Muncy will be keynote speaker at CORONA Chamber’s Quarterly Membership Meeting – where the organization and business community will honor and salute military personnel – all part of Armed Forces Day celebration. Slated for Friday, May 20 at the Circle City Center, 365 N Main St., Corona CA 92879, the luncheon and 2-hour program will begin at 11:30am. The Chamber is seeking all Veterans, Reservists and Active Duty personnel to register
on line at CORONAchamber. org as they will be the guests of the 105 year old organization and the business community.

The chamber asks that registration be completed by May 2 to ensure all arrangements are coordinated. Through the generosity of the business community, and individuals who purchase tables and tickets, all veterans will be guests at this luncheon. “This tradition was started many years ago, and truly, we should be treating our American Heroes to free meals daily,” stated Dean Seif, Chairman of the Legislative Action Committee for the CORONA Chamber. Dean continues, “Our chamber takes our freedom seriously, and we have the utmost respect and honor for those who have served.” Ticket pricing and table sponsorship are accessible online CORONAchamber. org or calling the chamber at 951.737.3350; Sponsorships begin at $500 and go up to $5,000. he start of the 2016 Major League Baseball season finds the welcome return of a popular tradition, Corona Night with the Angels. On Wednesday, April 27, the CORONA Chamber Foundation has secured tickets for local fans to see the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim play the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals. This will be the only home stand the Champs will play in Southern California this year. There are three ticket price ranges; Field $40, Lower View $30 and Upper View $12. Field and Lower View buyers receive an Angel’s cap with each ticket. Customers for the Upper View section or anyone else, can purchase a cap for the below market price of $6.
In the past, thousands of Coronans supported CORONANight with the Angels, organizing their own groups of co-workers, friends and family. Fond memories remain of the past games when some businesses would charter transportation for their employees and enjoy a night of bonding and promoting “esprit de corps”. This year, Administrative Professional’s Day is also on April 27.
