Kimia Aflatoonian

I am Kimia Aflatoonian, a Master of architecture student at the University of Kansas. My journey in architecture began with two years of study in my home country, Iran, giving me the opportunity to experience the field from two distinct cultural perspectives. This has broadened my understanding and appreciation of architecture. I aspire to actively participate in the construction process, as I believe that bringing designs to life is incredibly rewarding. The creative act of sketching and crafting models is the most delightful aspect of my studio experience, and I find immense joy in exploring new ideas and concepts. To further my expertise, I am pursuing a graduate certificate in Design-Build and Construction Management, with plans to obtain a second master’s degree in Construction Management after completing my Master of Architecture.
