Heather Slump’s four boys grew up helping install open house signs, moving furniture for listings, listening to real estate phone calls during dinner, and hearing conversations about contracts, closings, inspections, and negotiations long before they were old enough to understand any of it.
At the time, it was simply Mom’s job. Fast forward decades later, and it has become the family business.
“Out of my four sons, three are in real estate,” she says with pride.
Today, Heather works alongside two of her sons, Connor and Brock, helping lead and grow Rhae Group Realty, the boutique brokerage she o icially launched three years ago. That was after she spent more than two decades building her reputation in Colorado real estate.
“I got my license 25 years ago,” she smiles. “I’ve alwaysenjoyed looking at homes and knew that being a REALTOR® was something I wanted to do.”
Little did she know that her business would bloom and
blossom. It’s not about sales numbers, though, for Heather. Real estate is rewarding because it is centered around family.
“It’s the best,” Heather says honestly about working with her sons. “I love coming in and having lunch with them or talking through deals together. They grew up watching how much I loved this business, and now they have that same passion.”
That passion has fueled an exciting season for the brokerage.
After years of growth, Rhae Group Realty recently celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new office in Louisville, Colorado, a project that officially began back in November 2024. What started as a smaller office in Broomfield quickly became too cramped for the vision Heather had in mind.
“We outgrew that space pretty fast,” she says. “We wanted something that could accommodate our agents, closings, team meetings, and future growth the way we envisioned it.”
But long before the office expansion, Heather was

simply a young mother raising four boys while trying to build a career she genuinely loved.
At the time, she was waiting tables and juggling motherhood with four sons born only about 18 months apart.
“It was chaos,” she laughs. Still, even then, real estate fascinated her.
“We would go on vacation, and I’d want to go look at houses,” Heather says. “I’ve always loved it.”
That passion eventually turned into a 25-year career built almost entirely around relationships and trust.
“I really believe people can tell when you genuinely care,” she says. “It’s not about numbers to us.
The first house is just as important as the forever dream house.”

Putting people first has become the foundation of Rhae Group Realty from the very beginning. “We are very client-driven,” Heather explains. “We want people taken care of from start to finish. That’s our focus.”
Another focus? Contracts. “We are here from A to Z. Everyone gets the same service.” Systems are set in place to make sure that everything is taken care of.
Today, the brokerage includes seven agents with plans to continue growing intentionally while maintaining its boutique culture.
“We’re not trying to become some giant brokerage where people feel like a number,” Heather says. “We want every client to get the same level of care.”
Still, family comes first. Heather and her sons, Brock and Connor, and their families
have Sunday dinners each week. There’s only one rule: no talking real estate! (They have all week to talk about clients, showings, and sales.)
What’s the secret to her success? “Loving my job and caring about people,” she says with delight. Heather takes her job to heart. “I think that is why we are so different from the typical agent,” she muses. “We are here to guide you through. And I really love it and that really shows.” Her sincerity shines through in every interaction she has with clients.
Together, they enjoy giving back to the community “We do Toys for Tots for Christmas,” says Heather. They are also big on team building. “Every month, all of our agents get together.” They may volunteer at the local food bank in Louisville or just enjoy a night at Topgolf. In the process, they strengthen relationships and build the brokerage’s “family feel.”
Brock and Connor think the world of their mother and feel it is a privilege to follow in her footsteps.
For Brock, real estate never felt unfamiliar. Why? He grew up surrounded by it.
“I watched my mom help families my entire life,” he says. “I saw the relationships she built and how much she genuinely cared.”
Now two years into the business himself, Brock focuses heavily on first-time homebuyers and investors while building his business through communication, social media, and longterm relationships.
“People gravitate toward honesty,” he says. “If you’re overly scripted or salesy, people can feel that.”
That lesson came directly from Heather.
“The best advice she gave me was to lead with relationships instead of just focusing on the closing,” Brock explains.
Outside of real estate, Brock enjoys skiing, wake surfing, and spending time with his wife Addy and their sevenmonth-old daughter Emerson, who has quickly become the center of the family’s world.
“My family motivates me,” he says. “That’s what drives everything.”
Of course, working with family also brings some competition. “We’re definitely competitive with each other,” Brock laughs about working alongside Connor. “But it’s honestly made us even closer.”
Connor: Elevating the Client Experience
Connor entered real estate six years ago after trying several entrepreneurial ventures, including landscaping, professional Christmas light installations, and residential window cleaning businesses.
“I wanted something more personal,” Connor says. “I wanted to work with fewer people but actually know them.”
That realization shifted the way he approached both business and relationships.
“There are little things people mention in conversation that most people forget,” he explains. “Remembering those details
and following up later means everything.”
Today, Connor serves not only as a REALTOR®, but also as a success coach within the brokerage, meeting weekly with agents to help them strengthen systems, client relationships, and service standards.
“I’m very intentional,” he says. “I always want to elevate the experience clients receive.”
That mindset has helped shape the culture inside Rhae Group Realty as the brokerage continues growing.
“We want it to feel intimate and personalized,” Connor says. “We’re passionate about the communities we sell because we actually live here ourselves.”
Outside the office, Connor enjoys community involvement and holiday fundraising initiatives benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado.
“I’m a huge holiday snob,” he jokes. He does a Christmas tree fundraiser. “For every tree that is decorated in warm white lights, I donate $25 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation. I started that last year, and it will be an annual thing that I do.”
He and his wife Marion are also raising their energetic 20-month-old son, Calum.
“He’s just as ornery as I am,” Connor laughs.
For Heather, seeing her sons build

successful careers alongside her is something she never takes for granted. Her oldest son started custom design in Houston. He is married to his wife, who now works as a real estate agent in Houston.
“She is now very successful,” she says. “She started with me in college.” Heather taught her the ropes and now she is soaring on her own. Her son is also blazing his own trail. It’s all because Heather has led the way.
After decades spent answering phone calls during family dinners, dragging kids to open houses, and building a business from the ground up, she now gets to watch the next generation continue what she started.

And at the center of it all remains the same core values that built the brokerage in the first place: “Be yourself,” Heather says. “People can tell when it’s genuine.”
That authenticity may be exactly why the Slump family’s business continues growing. Because of the care that they have for their clients, relationships last long after the closing table.
