104 Coolick School pupils climb Torc Mountain
“There were different activities each day for the children to participate in, including cooperation games, novelty races, art, music, dance and of course the popular Teddy Bears picnic,” said Principal Padraig O Sullivan.
“Of course we were very lucky with the weather and a mighty week was had by all in Scoil Bhride Loreto.”
Pupils from Coolick National School enjoyed a school tour with a difference this week.
Pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class – all 104 of them - climbed Torc Mountain.

“They were thrilled to reach the top and enjoy the great views. The older pupils helped lead the younger pupils on the day. We had plenty of stops for picnics along the way,” said Principa, Gearóid O Sullivan
“As a school we love to do as many outdoor activities as possible and our trip up Torc Mountain was part of our Active Schools Week.”
