St Brendan’s honours its star students
On Friday night last 90 current fifth and sixth year students gathered with 24 students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2022 as St. Brendan's re-booted its annual senior awards evening.
Gathering in the Chapel, together with invited parents and staff, Mr. Kieran Herlihy spoke of the achievements of the Class of 22.
Special Guest speaker on the night, former St. Brendan's student, Niall O'Leary who presented Kacper Bogalecki with the Gold Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Kacper is now studying Medicine at UCC.
UCC Engineering student Colm Looney was the recipient of the Dr. Tadhg MacCurtain Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in Maths and Physics. Other winners on the night were: Gearóid Mulvihill – Outstanding performance in Arts and Humanities.




Eoghan Ó Dubháin – Bishop Ó Súilleabháin medal for outstanding achievement in Irish.



Peter Walsh and Cian Foley medal for outstanding results in Business.
Jack Lynch medal for outstanding achievement in Design Technology.
The Board of Management award for academic excellence went to the following students:
Cian Doyle, Ethan O’Neill, Ethan Slattery, Fionn McCloskey, Sam Benson, Harry Byrne, Myles O’Leary, Mikey Moriarty, Donncha Grealy, Mohammad Uddin, Mark Clifford, Rian Gill and Jack Muldarry. The Parents’ Council medal for the highest achieving Leaving Certificate Applied student went to Michael O’Donoghue. Certificates to mark their Distinction in LCA went to Cerysan Danter, Aaron
