Kerry Camogie minor trainer, the late Pat Sheehan was remembered at a special tournament last week.
The inaugural Pat Sheehan Memorial Tournament for small primary schools took place on on April 26 in Spa.

“Pat was a minor trainer with Killarney and Kerry Camogie last year and unfortunately passed away on December 19 last year. Our chairperson Sarah Dineen contacted Pat's wife Geraldine to get her blessing,” explained PRO Caroline O’Leary.
“The tournament was well attended with Geraldine, Ilona [Pat's daughter] and extended members of the family.”
The schools that participated were: Cahir NS, Hollymount NS, Knockanes NS and Tiernaboul NS.
Hollymount NS had a very exciting win over Tiernaboul in the final, with a player from Tiernaboul receiving the Player of the Tournament from Ilona Sheehan
“We also held a Poc Fada competition & Player of the Tournament trophy. All trophies were sponsored by Pat's employer
The Gleneagle Hotel, whom we are very grateful to,” added Caroline. “The players from all schools played their hearts out and we would like to say a huge thanks to them & their teachers and trainers for bringing them to participate.
Geraldine and Ilona presented the winning team captain with the winners’ trophy.”
