Nathan’s Walk scheduled for early Saturday
The longest-running Darkness Into Light walk outside of Dublin will take place in the early hours of Saturday morning a
Nathan’s Walk, Darkness into Light 2023 raises funds for self-harm charity Pieta House.
It is named after Nathan O’Carroll who passed away tragically in 2007. His mother Marie has been organising the Killarney walk in his memory since.

The official launch took place on Tuesday night an Reidy’s on Main Street and was hosted by Radio Kerry’s Brendan Fuller. The walk will start at 4.15am on Saturday morning at Killarney Racecourse. Partici- pants will walk 5km through the National Park as dawn breaks to remember victims of suicide and to raise awareness. Registration is also possible at the racecourse in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, the London version of Darkness into Light will take place at the same time from the Crown Hotel in Cricklewood. The London organising committee is headed by Aghadoe woman Tara Cronin.
