Increased calls to MABS after lifting of Eviction Ban An Post inviting ideas for brand new 2025 stamp

An Post is seeking new ideas for their 2025 stamps.

Significant anniversaries, and aspects of Irish history, culture, community, geography, outdoor living, environment, flora and fauna are just some of the topics that feature on Irish stamps. All topic suggestions for 2025 will be considered and a shortlist put forward by An Post for Government approval. Work then begins on the commissioning and management of designs, ahead of specialised printing and distribution for sale at post offices and through anpost.com.

Irish postage stamps are renowned worldwide for the quality of their sub- ject matter and design, always involving top Irish artists and designers. Perhaps there is an event, from the past or in the future, that is worth marking. Maybe there’s an special anniversary, a person or a particular aspect of Irish life that should be celebrated.

For inspiration, recent An Post stamps have included topics as varied as Favourite Irish breakfasts, Sean O’Casey’s Dublin Plays; Irish Country Music, and the 50th anniversary of Ireland joining the EU.
