Cawang included as a strategic district in South Jakarta, considering the presence of the Commuter Line Station and inner-city toll road. Using the principles of 'land value capture', the transit area in the center becomes the main engine to increase the values of the surrounding and trigger the development of the local potentials.TOD area is designed to be a mixed use transit center by merging the building boundaries and injecting public spaces to increase the connectivity. Green area is functioned to be an oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle. The border between the office buildings and the surrounding housings acted as the meeting point between the homebased enterprises and the office employees as their customers

Kukusan Student District

Master Thesis Depok, 2020

Kukusan situated in the west side of Universitas Indonesia Campus, Depok, with the population of 20.614 people in 2019. Over decades, the area has transformed into the dense student dorm district, leaving its agricultural context behind. Unlike the 80's-90's, the boarders now have a very low engagement with the locals. This causes the local authorities have difficulties in doing social control Male Boarding Houses

The high intensity of the college assignments, gadget lifestyle, and the over- enclosed dorms for security reasons are allegedly the factors that form the individualism between the boarders. By borrowing a chemical term, Kukusan can be likened as a solution that consists of two separated substances, such as oil and water. In order to mix them, another substance called emulsifier should be added, such as soap, which translated as a public space where the social interaction can happened

Rooftop Garden The strategy is to compact the boarding houses into clusters where the ground floor is opened all the way as accessible public spaces

Margonda Street

Master Studio Depok, 2018

Margonda is Depok's main street which considered as the center of economy, social, transit, education and governance activities, as well as the representation of Depok. The Margonda design concept introduces the keyword of 'verandah' which represents its position as the representation of Depok City where thousand of commuters pass through. The concept will provide comfortable public spaces for people's leisure time and social interactions, apart from their working or college hours. To ease people's mobility, LRT line will be built along the street with nine stations and one depot. The area around each stations will be developed as the nodes where the public spaces located and integrated with mixed use functions.

Banyuwangi is a city that located at the end point of Eastern Java that rich of traditional culture, especially the mystical culture. Therefore, the local government planned to transform the mystical image of Banyuwangi into the more hospitable image that can invite more tourist to visit the city. This far, the government’s effort to hold the yearly Banyuwangi Culture Festival and Parade has increase the tourist visit significantly. Thus, this design proposal aimed to provide more public space to enable tourists to enjoy the Banyuwangi festival and culture

Each of the Kelurahan (Government) offices’s yard will be functioned as a traditional dance studio. An amphiteater will be provided to allow tourists to see their performance, as well as their daily practice, which aimed to bring tourists to have more intimacies with the locals

Each of the rooftop of the street side retails will be transformed as public spaces to allow people to have a better view of the parade

This is a conceptual design for a zoo in Tasikmalaya that face the iconic lake of Situ Gede. The concept is to emphasize the nature of the water body (lake) by flow it into the zoo area, which also aimed to separate various species of animals by defined them based on their origins. The hilly contours of the site became a challenge of its own, yet also provided a beautiful scenery of the zoo
