This project looks at adding group and individual sleeping accommodations, a dining hall and classrooms to better suit the needs of the summer camps. It explores custom structural motifs that allude to the forrested area by mimicking the branching structure of branches. All buildings in the project are oriented to the east to capitalize on the view of the sisters. Overall, the design is spread accross approximately 7 acres. Throughout the site there are open clearings to allow for interraction between the users and the natural environment. The project is located in Corvallis, Oregon which requires thicker insulation to promote use in the winter months. Buildings added to the site are composed of double studded walls ďŹ lled with densely packed insulation. All existing buildings are to be referbished to keep the historical value of the site and promote buildings as teachers. Site Layout

River Run Community Center Summer 2018 Tom Hahn and Fred Tepfer Project Media: Illustrator, Revit
This 13,000 square foot community center is designed based on the poetic nature that surrounds the Willammette Valley. The center is a node that connects the different aspects of the community and acts as a passage through the bike trail at Skinner’s Butte park. It features a trafďŹ c garden for safe learning of best practices when riding a bike and open grass areas for family and community activities. The roof is designed as a pollinator garden and micro-habitat for small animals and insects. It is not intended to be accessible by the public and is watered by a storage tank that holds enough water to keep the roof maintained in the dry summer months. Structurally, the building incorporates an immersion of steel and glu-lam wood. The overall structure of the added bike path is reinforced concrete.

This design is an affordbale housing unit located in west Eugene, OR and will be built by the end of summer 2019. The design untilizes advanced framing techniques using light-weight wood framing and incorporates rain water ďŹ ltration techniques. The building also features a smaller front yard to keep in mind that the users of the house are part of lower income demographic and may not have the time or money to maintain it. The backyard is larger for and private area for the tennants. The house is a two bedroom two bath, and is designed to have the potential to convert the garage into an extra bedroom, living area, separate living unit, or space for a private business. ADA accessibility was highly important in this design, so all doors and rooms are accessible for wheelchair access. It strives for exibility to give the tennants the ability to customize and make the space into a home. On this team I was in charge of ensuring the elevations matched the design objectives of the team.

Truss Design Spring 2018 Mark Donofrio Project Media: AutoCAD, Photoshop, Multiframe, Laser Cutter
The basis of this project was to design a system of trusses that are beautiful and structurally sound. this project consists of two lasercut models, and a multiframe analysis of the structural integrity of the truss. This was a group project done with Mariana Dominguez. In this project I created and put together the models, built the multiframe model, created photoshoped experiential renderings, drew the details for the critical connections, the elevations and plans for the layout. The top chords of the trusses are glu-lam wood, and the rest of the pieces of the truss are steel cable and steel pipe. The truss is designed to incorporate clerestory windows above the wall, but just below the base of the main truss structure. Overall, the design is light weight and spaced relatively close together to add a depth to the cieling of the space.

8.5x11” Charcoal Sketch (5 mins.)
The drawings on the next two pages consist mostly of quick 30 second to 30 minute sketches primarily done using charcoal, graphite pencil, and ink pen. The color photo on the second page is a mixed media painting using charcoal, acrylic paint, and watercolor. That painting was done in 6 hours and it the largest piece in my collection. The majority of my drawings are micro sketches and do not exceed the size of an 8.5”x11” sheet of paper.

My name is Kierra Alysse and I am an Undergraduate architecture student graduating in June of 2019. I am spirited about finding sustainable and economic solutions that are beautiful and that support the human experience by using architecture as a catalyst. I love working in teams to find unique ways to solve problems. I look forward to gaining my licensure in architecture and my LEED certifications. Away from my professional life, I play guitar and sing a little as well as scrapbook and gardening. I have a goal of one day having a garden big enough to sustain all of my grocery needs and develop a bee sanctuary. That’s me in a nutshell!
Thank You. Kierra A. Morris
