The best things in life take time: whether it’s a homemade meal, a fitness goal, or a cup of coffee.
It is our belief, that like most things, coffee rewards craft and perfection.
The problem is, we live in a fast paced culture that tends to reward short cuts and accesibility.

You can roll through a Starbucks on your way to something else, and in 5 minutes have a drink made for you, without having to put any thought into where the coffee came from. You don’t have to think about how long it took the earth to yield the coffee in your cup, or ponder how many hands touched it before it ended up brewed and in your mug, ready to give you your fast-paced stimulant.
So, in this article we want to bring you into loop on a few coffee facts that might help you better understand all that goes into that delicious cup of cofffee you start your day with.
And maybe as we slow down together, we can grow to not only appreciate our coffee more, but also discover gratitude for the precious lives we get to live.

Did you know that after a coffee tree is planted, it takes up to 5 years for it to be able to yield a fruit that is harvest ready?

Coffee is actually the seeds of coffee trees. These small trees produce a cherry-like fruit, containing seeds which you know as coffee beans. Coffee plants take 3-5 years to grow into being a tree that can reach full fruit production. annual cherry maturation takes approximately 9 months.
Farmers and their families labor for years to cultivate healthy sustainable farms that yield what lands in your cup.
And this is simply the beginng.
Coffee is technically made three different times.
1. It is farmed 2. It is Roasted 3. It is brewed
Each Part of the process is extremely important.
From farm to cup, we all playan important part. being highlyintentional about our role, goes a long way in producuing sustainabilityfor the farms, farmers, roasteries, and markets.
