Here is Sofia talking about her art in her own words: “I started drawing with markers, crayons and colored pencils at around age five! I’ve always loved coloring pages and using different art tools!

My favorite medium is colored pencils!

I use Prismacolor pencils all the time to really get the realistic look.

They are great to use when blending colors and for drawing details.”

“In the future, I definitely want to use my artistic abilities. But I don’t see myself just drawing like I’m doing now.

I would like to go down a path involving art and my techniques.

I follow lots of other artists around my age who use the same mediums as I do.

They help inspire me!

One of my favorite art pieces is this drawing I did of my papa. It’s very special to me and my family.

I actually made it as a Father’s Day gift when when my papa was going through a hard time. I wanted to do something special. I think it’s one of my best portraits.

I was very happy with all the details!
