As we begin a brand-new year, the Kicker would like to thank everyone who helps the staff make the Kicker such a great success.
First of all, a big thank-you to all those who contribute editorially. Our community has a large range of activities and interests. Those who are involved with the various clubs and organizations are the experts on what is happening with their groups. It benefits the community to share news about planned events and ways the community can be involved. We have contributors who have specialized knowledge about technology, finances, community projects, and human interests. The variety of information and styles of writing, add to the uniqueness of The Kicker, while allowing it to be what it was intended to be: a vehicle for furthering a cohesive, supportive and informed community.
A gigantic thank-you goes out to all the advertisers who support the Kicker each and every month, some of whom have been with us since the Kicker’s inception. Without you, it would not be possible to offer the Kicker to readers free of charge. Your ads also help community members to find the services they need and can access locally. You are why people can say, “I found it in The Kicker!”
Finally, with deep gratitude, we thank our readers. You have always been very loyal, supportive and appreciative of our efforts to produce a quality newsletter. Some of you pick up a copy of the Kicker at local stores and drop boxes. Some of you have subscriptions so that your paper copy is mailed to you each month. Still others are online readers, whether you live full-time in the Shuswap or keep in touch electronically from a distance. Your feedback helps to shape our publication. Your positive comments are encouraging and make us proud of the job we do. Your critiques lead us to reflection and help us to improve the quality of our articles. Both negative and positive views are important and both contribute to the quality of The Kicker.
We wish you all a very Happy New Year and all the best in 2022. Please do all you can to continue to stay safe and to be caring and respectful of those around you.
