The 1st XI defeated Clarendon Park in the final of the Everard Cup,in the previous rounds beating Gumley, Billesdon and the Langtons al1 away from home .
The Saturday 2nd XI are promoted to Div 4 of the LCCL under the captaincy of Geoff Lee and a win in the final game against Sileby wil1 give them the title .
The Saturday 1st XI have unfortunately been relegated to Div 2 but wil1 hopefully bounce back next season. Peter Dundas has been consistently scoring runs and Andy 31ack has proved a valuable acquisition scoring important runs and taking vital wickets.
The Sunday 1st XI has not had a successful season; however ,the 2nd XI has achieved one or good wins.
September sees both the Saturday and Sunday sides playing friendly games through to the end of the month.
The Club again held a successful benefit game, this time for Les Tay1or The County brought along a very strong side and a good game was enjoyed by a 1arge Crowd.
Finally,a mention must be made of the Under 16 XI who,in the final of the Under 16 Cup defeated _Houghton by 9 wickets at Grace Road There were excellent bowling performances by Simon Barkworth and Jason Le Preux and the batting honours went to Daniel Pedley and John Lawrence. ALl1 of this team are now playing regular Saturday and Sunday cricket and on the strength of this the future of the Club looks to be on the right track.
