I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student pursuing a career in architecture. Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by the way that buildings can shape our environment. As I began exploring my interests and career option, I realized that architecture was the perfect match that I had been looking for.

I‘ve discovered my passion in designing and creating spaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. The challenges I faced from designing a small house for a family to a large scale housing project only helped me to grow my knowledge and understanding to the next level.

In my portfolio, you’ll find a selection of my best work, including sketches, plans, and models of my designs. I’ve dedicatied myself to design spaces that are both beautiful and functional.

MINDWAVES

INSTITUTIONAL STUDIO

SITE LOCATION : CHANDKHEDA AHMEDABAD

SITE AREA : 1800 m²

MATERIAL : BRICK & RCC

I had the opportunity to design a school for ‘Pearl Foundation’, an institute for specially abled students with conditions such as Down syndrome, Dyslexia, and Autism. The school is designed to accommodate 150-200 people on a site area of 1800 m² located in Chandkheda Ahmedabad. The design is centered around a beautiful banyan tree, which serves as a focal point and gathering place for the students.

The simpler design also helps to reduce distractions and promote a more focused learning experience. The diffused light throughout the campus helps to create a calming and soothing atmosphere, which is particularly important for students with special needs. The corridors are designed in such a way that teachers can keep an eye on students from anywhere on campus, ensuring that they are always safe and secure.

SITE AREA : 16000 m²

MATERIAL : BRICK & RCC

The co-living space I designed was for IIM Ahmedabad students and faculties. The site for this project is located in Charodi Gam Ahmedabad and covers an area of 16,000 m². The design brief called for the creation of 50-60 dwellings, and my aim was to make sure that each dwelling provided a sense of privacy while still promoting a sense of community.

To achieve this, I incorporated play of levels into the design and creating interesting connecting spaces between the dwellings. These spaces offer a visual connection between the different levels and promote interaction between residents.

The dwellings themselves were designed to ensure that each unit felt like a bungalow. I paid close attention to the natural light and ventilation, making sure that each unit was bright and airy. I included several common spaces throughout the complex, including a food court, a literature area, and a games area. These spaces were designed to be inviting and accessible, so that all residents can enjoy and spend time together.

DAZZLING BRICKS

MATERIAL STUDIO SEM III

SITE LOCATION : JAISALMER, RAJASTHAN

SITE AREA : 2000 m²

MATERIAL : BRICK

The project requires the creation of a sustainable and site-specific residence using brick as the primary building material. The property spans an area of 2000 m² and is located in the city of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The region is characterized by a flat topography and a hot and arid climate. The property is situated on a mountainside overlooking a river, and is connected to the rest of the area by a road.

The design will take into consideration the needs of a hypothetical family, consisting of two children, one boy and one girl, along with their parents and grandmother. The father is a businessman, the mother is a homemaker, and the grandmother is a retired teacher. Both children are currently studying.

Overall, the aim of this project is to create a comfortable and sustainable dwelling that responds effectively to its environment while also meeting the needs of its inhabitants. By utilizing local materials and techniques, and incorporating the specific requirements of the family, the resulting structure will be a true reflection of its surroundings and a testament to sustainable design principles.

Brick jali walls are a traditional architectural feature. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, these walls serve a practical purpose as well. They act as a natural air conditioning system, converting warm air to cool air by allowing it to pass through the lattice-like structure of the bricks.

Brick arches and vaults have been used in architecture for centuries. Arches and vaults can be found in a variety of architectural styles. The use of brick arches and vaults not only adds aesthetic appeal to a building but also provides practical benefits such as increased stability and durability.

The use of bricks in construction offers several benefits, including fire resistance, thermal mass, and durability. Brick buildings can withstand harsh weather conditions, and they are resistant to pests and rodents. They also offer excellent insulation, which can help to reduce energy costs.

VARKALA

SITE LOCATION : VARKALA, KERALA (FIELD STUDIO)

I recently had the opportunity to be a part of an architectural field studio in the picturesque town of Varkala, located on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea in the southern state of Kerala, India.

Our study site was the town itself, and we were tasked with developing proposals for a new drainage and rainwater disposal system, as well as coming up with ideas for future development.

We proposed several ideas for future development, including new green spaces and parks, improved pedestrian ,and cycling infrastructure. We believed that these proposals would help to make Varkala a more sustainable and livable town for both locals and tourists.
