Bloordale Collegiate combines elements of an alternative school with a highschool in a highly urban area of Toronto.

The community space is an art event space that integrates the community and users of the school together.

Location: 720 Granite Court, Pickering, Ontario The project is designed to foster social interaction by strategically incorporating diverse exterior spaces, with a particular focus on the POP (Public Open Plaza) and park areas. These spaces are intended to serve as vibrant hubs that bring people together, creating a sense of community and connection.

Site Plan In light of the extensive spacing between different developments, these shared spaces act as social connectors, mitigating the potential isolation that might arise in a such a large living complex.

Level 3 Plan Residents can forge connections with other community members, fostering a stronger sense of community despite the physical distances. In essence, these shared spaces not only enrich the living experience but also contribute to the creation of a cohesive and socially vibrant residential environment.

Location: Location: 1 Madawaska Street, Bancroft, Ontario The social housing complex allows occupants to collectively work together to maintain the building and provides various mixed-use spaces.The main focus of this development is to destigmatize the idea that social housing should look dull and inviting. It is essential to display that social housing should not be shrouded by stigma in society and provide dignified living conditions.

Cluster A: The cluster has views to the public park. These units are organized neatly as they are along the side.

Cluster B: The cluster has views to nature including the York river. These units also face Alice Street.

Cluster C: The cluster faces Madawaska Street in which these units are much smaller yet spaced out to provide a sense of privacy.

Cluster D: The cluster has units that are much larger compared to the others These units are organized neatly as they are towards the back of the site.

Through the entirety of the site, there are multiple proposed community spaces such as the courtyard, urban farm, and shared dining hall. The shared spaces allow for more interaction between the residents to occur especially as the developments are still very spaced out from one another.

The organic curve of the facade allows for aesthetics to come into play to combat the idea that social housing has to appear unexciting. These large curves continue around the building along Madawaska and Alice Street.

The micro home has been designed to help alleviate the housing crisis in Toronto and serve the growing population.

The dwelling is suitable for a single Toronto resident.

Location: 900 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON

Emphasizing the natural environment and creating a space where the design mimics nature in a very urban area. The skatepark uses organic curves to stand out against the rectilinear surroundings.

Located in Toronto, it was important to try creating a space where individuals can step away from the busy lifestyle and relax within the natural environment. The skatepark is continuous all around the site to create a never-ending journey for the riders.

The skatepark creates a unique and immersive experience for skateboarders, allowing them to fully encompass themselves in the sport and enjoy a never ending ride. Not only can skateboarders enjoy the space but bikers as well.

05 Together’s Bridge 2021 - Academic Rhinoceros 3D Enscape Grasshopper Illustrator Photoshop InDesign Location: 900 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON

The pedestrian bridge must be adaptive and responsive whilst maintaining a balance of purpose and aesthetics. It was designed to integrate with the water rather than building over it. The pedestrians are able to experience the water traveling below while they travel across.

Our team has made the bridge structurally minimal to create a space for gathering.

06 Selected Artworks 2018-2022 Showcases a variety of artistic materials ranging from acrylic paint, oil pastels, wood carving, and spackling paste.

The piece below is made from oil pastels of an empty alleyway during the night. Despite being dark, there is much vibrancy added through the various lights and signs to illuminate up the space.

ANWEBI AKI - A Place to Rest & Reflect - The piece above was a collaborative project along with 6 other sculptures to represent the 7 grandfather teachings.

The piece above was created using an acrylic medium to highlight the brilliant and vivid colors that can be used to capture the essence of an individual’s portrait. There was an experimention with different hues, tones, and shades, resulting in a bold and dynamic representation of the subject.

Above displays the versatility of spackle paste as an art medium, and its ability to create a rich and dynamic visual experience through the use of texture and shadow.
