Waqar e Amal

Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya was responsible for the first Waqar e Amal session. Khuddam and Atfal from the Auckland region gathered at the Bait ul- Muqeet Mosque by 9 pm. After a short briefing by Sadr Majlis Azeem Zafrullah Sahib, members split into groups of two or three, each group allocated an area and task. The majority of the work stemmed from overgrowth of herbage across the Mosque grounds. Weeds had to be pulled from around the carpark, hedges were trimmed, and the area was swept. Khuddam were also responsible for mowing the lawns around the mosque and cleaning the roof gutter. To finish the day, Khuddam enjoyed some pizza for lunch, and after combined Zuhr and Asr prayers left for their homes.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as)

"The primary purpose of this Convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious benefits; They may enhance their knowledge and – due to their being blessed and enabled by Allah – The Exaltedtheir perception [ of Allah ] may progress. Among its secondary benefits is that this congregational meeting together will promote mutual introduction among all brothers, and it will strengthen the fraternal ties within this Community" — Ishtihar 7 December 1892, Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, p. 340
