CAVERN: Craig Street Theatre

The Craig St. Theatre project is our first large scale program project. We also explored precedent morphology manipulations as a method of form-finding.

Basing it on Western Pennsylvania sedimentary rock formations, I created my theatre with undulating layers which also forms the interior, especially that of the theatre, evoking sediment layers. There is also a courtyard where the main entrace is located which evokes that of a cavern, attracting and immersing the audience from the street.
