UPPER KEYS WEEKLY / MARCH 31, 2017

GABRIEL SANCHEZ

Now that spring has arrived, it’s time to start planning some much needed spring cleaning. A good start would be sorting and tossing out all the useless junk you’ve accrued over the year. The deep cleaning synonymous with spring cleaning can be stressful, but it’s either that or risk your home winding up on an episode of “Hoarders.” This sort of undertaking requires a plan, however. So the weekly turned to locals and asked…

What’s your strategy for some much needed spring cleaning?

Ashley Rhyne, of DJ’s Diner and Seafood Grill, said, “I have a 12-year-old, so I’ll handle the hard stuff and let her handle my light work.”

Denny’s Owner Hany Haroun said, “Everybody in my family takes their own room. My wife and I are taking our closet, taking everything out and start over again. Sometimes I hire a guy to clean the downstairs, because if it’s left to me, I won’t throw anything out.”

“Take out everything from the house and get everything new,” joked Marquis Adams, of Denny’s.

Denny’s Marquis Lawson said, “No strategy needed, just do it.”

“Just go through the house, throw things out I don’t need, then deep clean the rooms,” said Samantha Anderson of Denny’s.

Canes cheerleaders bring home gold

T

he Coral Shores competition cheerleading team took home first place from the Contest of Champions national competition in Orlando on March 4. With nearly 60 other teams in the high school category, Coral Shores won first place overall in their division with a perfect routine consisting of stunt and jump sequences, dances and a cheer for school spirit. The squad prepared for the competition by practicing almost daily since January. The team also put in time to raise money for all the travel costs. They washed cars, had bake sales, and put together a community yard sale to raise the funds. Conservation club tidies up shore

S

tudents from Coral Shores High School’s Teens 4 Oceans club held a cleanup in the Snake Creek Marina area on March 26. The main goal of the club is to have young teens involved in preserving the ecosystem, said club President Kaitlin White. The club, which has had three cleanups this year, is also focused on educating the younger students on ocean conservation. “I believe that people have the power to alter an ecosystem, whether they plan to or not. Our club hopes to alter in a positive way, protecting it by making it cleaner and safer for wildlife,” said White. Over at Key Largo School, students seem to already understand the importance of doing their part. Mrs. Pamela Caputo’s 1st chapter of Help End All Litter cleaned up trash this weekend too. The group holds cleanups once a month, with the usual haul being eight trash bags worth. “My students always feel good about themselves after our adventures and I can tell that it has made a difference when I see them randomly picking up garbage at school,” said Caputo. — Weekly Staff Report

Student scholarships the biggest winner

n Mar. 28, the Florida Keys Board of Realtors held its annual bingo game at the Island Resort’s Blue Water Tiki. Along with the traditional bingo rules, hosts Claude Kershner and Jennifer Miller stipulated a few other rules for the games. Four corners, “X”, and the outside borders of the bingo card were all winning combinations at one point. Nearly two dozen prizes were given out, including gift cards, bottles of wine, and artwork from Pasta Pantaleo. The event benefited the organization’s scholarship programs. With the end of the academic year fast approaching, the board will now begin interviewing scholarship applicants, getting to know them, and finally awarding students based on individual merit.

Air ambulance sets record Trauma Star service has airlifted 200-plus this year O n March 26, Monroe County’s Trauma Star air ambulance service had the busiest day in its history. In a four-hour period, Trauma Star responded to two vehicle accidents 53 miles apart, and a stabbing, transporting five people to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. A sixth person was airlifted by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Air Rescue. As of March 26, Trauma Star’s two medically equipped helicopters – which can carry up to two people – have transported 202 people in 2017. Of these 202 cases, 50 involved picking up victims in the field as opposed to a Keys hospital. The breakdown of the 50 field transports: 38 trauma, 7 heart attacks and 5 strokes. “The Trauma Star program always is busy during peak tourist season in the Keys, but this year already is proving to be exceptionally busy,” said Monroe County Fire Rescue’s Andrea Thompson, Captain of Trauma Star and Emergency Medical

Services. “We have our second helicopter in operation for a daily 12-hour shift to ensure our community has this life-saving service when it is needed.” Sunday’s busy night began at 6 p.m. when Trauma Star 1 (the program’s newer helicopter, purchased last year) responded to a motorcycle accident on Sugarloaf Key. The 43-year-old male driver and 29-year-old female passenger – both of Key West – were airlifted to Miami. They were both in serious but stable condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The story so far: Trauma Star helicopters have airlifted 202 people from the Keys through March 26, 2017: January: 72 February: 49 March: 81

At about 7:15 p.m., Trauma Star got its second call of the night. This time, there was a head-on collision just south of MM 70 on U.S. 1 on Long Key. Three people in the crash needed to be airlifted: a 42-year-old male and 37-year-old female, both from Georgia, and a 27-year-old female from Miami. Trauma Star 2 (the program’s second helicopter) transported two of the victims and Miami-Dade’s Air Rescue helicopter transported the third. All were in serious but stable condition, according to FHP. Trauma Star 1 was returning to the Keys from Ryder Trauma Center when it got another call at about 9:55 p.m. to transport a male stabbing victim, in his 20s, from Big Pine Key. Monroe County Fire Rescue transported the victim to Trauma Star’s Marathon headquarters, where he was transferred to Trauma Star 1, which took him to Ryder Trauma Center. He died later from his wounds. “A day like Sunday shows how important Trauma Star is to the residents and visitors of the Florida Keys,” Thompson said. “I want to thank our flight crews for doing such an amazing job.” Trauma Star is a joint operation of Monroe County Fire Rescue and the Monroe County sheriff’s office. Each helicopter crew consists of a pilot, flight medic and flight nurse. —Contributed

GEARHEADS, UNITE! Car show attracts every class GABRIEL SANCHEZ

eff Hynes has been active in the antique car scene for 37 years. He’s been in car shows before, but this year will be his second time at the All-American Road Vintage Cruisers Car Show, happening at the 26th annual Island Fest on April 1 and 2. When he first pulled into the Florida Keys in 2000, Hynes had brought his two classic Jaguars and antique Ford pickup. The first – a fully restored 1960 Jaguar XK-150 Convertible in British racing green with a tan interior and top, was a beautiful car in every respect. The next, a 1964 Jaguar Mark 2 Sedan with burgundy exterior and grey interior, screams elegance. Finally, his red 1949 Ford F-1 pickup truck is “old enough and simple enough for me to keep and drive it until they take my license away,” he laughed. Though Hyde had competed in car shows in Colorado before moving to the Keys, he recalls more than 20 vehicles at last year’s show that caught his attention. “I’m looking forward to seeing what the other people bring. There was a pretty good selection of antique and exotic cars last year,” he said. Over the years, he’s owned about 20 vehicles, ranging from his first car – a 1936 Plymouth Coupe he bought in high school – to a Volkswagen Camper van, 1958 Pontiac Bonneville, and a Studebaker Hawk.

Also at Island Fest will be the “What Floats Your Boat” homemadeboat race. The boat race pits homemade vessels against each other for a handful of hilarious awards. The race is set to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday. For kids, there will be sand castle building, arts and crafts, and a hula hoop contest. Musical performances by Tim Charron, Seranation, David Feder, the DelSol Band, Island Vibes, and Pit Bull of Blues are scheduled. Ten artists will also be creating original plein air masterpieces throughout the festival grounds.

Jeff Hynes’ red 1949 Ford F-1 Pickup is polished and show ready. GABRIEL SANCHEZ/Keys Weekly

While reading an article in the Wall Street Journal years ago, Hyde glanced over a list of various investments that people should take up to avoid the recession of the early 1980s. “One of the things listed were classic European cars,” said Hyde. “A lot of people ended up buying those cars on pure speculation. … But when I saw the value going up on the vehicles, I decided to purchase the Jaguars.” Last year, Hyde sold the last of his two Jaguars, the XK-150, at the car show. But that’s only after it won the funkiest foreign car award. Now he and his wife drive a Subaru –and they love it. “It’s a great hobby,” said Hynes of collecting and maintain so many vehicles in a lifetime, “though it’s probably a little less expensive to maintain antique American cars.” Hyde says that this is the first time since his 20s (he’s in his 70s) when he hasn’t owned a convertible. He hinted that the summer was coming quickly, and it looked like he was getting the itch again. But don’t worry – he’ll be at the show with his red Ford F-1 pickup truck. And no, it’s not for sale. The show is on both April 1 and April 2. Contact the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce to enter the show.

RISING STAR Sanders focused on expanding horizons

S

outh Florida’s Jade Sanders is a freshfaced talent with a high ceiling in the country music world. Her powerful voice and catchy lyrics fetch instant comparisons to some of today’s top stars. Sanders’ father was her first guitar teacher, and for her 10th birthday, got her a guitar. After

learning her first three chords, she just started writing her own originals. At age 12 she performed in public for the first time while living in Mississippi. Now 18, she’s written more than 100 songs. Some of her originals are currently being aired on Thunder Country 100.3FM and Today’s Country K99.1FM. Her song writing process is built on of her chord choice. Singles, like her hit “You and I,” come to Sanders as ideas that are quickly fleshed out into full songs. She was able to write “You and I” in one shot, and without many changes. At times Sanders will create a story in her lyrics, like in the song “Shotgun Rider.” The music video is worth a watch on her website, www.jadesanders.net Sanders said she’s focused on expanding her musicality, co-writing, and working with new musicians. She’s excited about meeting new artists and producers when she visits Nashville this August. It’ll be her fourth time in Music City and Sanders is also eyeing a radio tour up the Florida coast and North Florida in the near future. For now, Sanders is just enjoying life’s journey and letting new ideas come naturally. Gigging in the South Florida country scene and Florida Keys has kept her grounded, and Sanders said she digs the Keys vibe, adding, “the weather is always amazing.” Sanders is scheduled to play every Wednesday and Thursday in April at the Lazy Lobster. Starting in June, Sanders and her band will be at Hog Heaven at least once a month until December. Check her website and Facebook for events scheduling.

Buzzards Roost “Bloodline’s” most recognizable bar, Key Largo’s Buzzards Roost has it all. Good food, dockside view, and refreshing drinks. And what better way to enjoy it, than a Smashed Buzzard from “Bloodline’s” most recognizable bartender, Buffy the “Bar Slayer” Sherman. The roost’s signature libation is made with light rum, coconut rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice and fresh coconut milk. Sherman was featured as a bartender in the second season’s fourth episode of the Netflix series, and as a waitress in season three. The coolest part, though? “I hung out with Linda Cardellini (Meg Rayburn) for a few hours. She was so much fun,” said Sherman. Born and raised in Tavernier, Sherman said she’s been fortunate enough to have the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico as a playground while growing up. Being a Keys kid, her favorite hobbies have always been diving, fishing and entertaining. “I love to have all my friends over and cook the day’s catch for everyone. That’s my favorite thing to do,” she said with a smile. Even though she’s gotten a lot of recognition for her cameo on “Bloodline,” Sherman said people wouldn’t normally guess she’s actually really shy. Just not camera-shy. HELP FOR RESCUE Responder campaigns for life-saving equipment GABRIEL SANCHEZ

gabriel@keysweekly.com

W Fire Fighter Jason Luna wears the portable carrier for Islamorada Fire Department Station 19’s newest life-saving device — the LUCAS Chest Compression System. The device frees up emergency medical responders so they can perform other live-saving measures.

hen Islamorada Fire Rescue Volunteer Larry Zettwoch was challenged at a monthly CPR class to raise half of the $19,000 needed to buy a LUCAS Chest Compression System, he didn’t balk. The challenge, originally levied by Caloosa Cove Resort and Marina and Safari Lounge’s Sergio Rivera, was that if Zettwoch could raise half the cost of the device, Rivera would cover the other. So Zettwoch took a grass roots approach to making it happen for Fire Station 19 and its responders. “I just talked to people. I went to a couple homeowner association meetings, handed out flyers that I put together and explained to people that it was tax-deductible, and that the money donated would only be used for the LUCAS,” said Zettwoch. The original plan was to have 200 people donate $100 each, said Zettwoch. “A lot of families donated $100, which was perfect,” said Zettwoch. “Individuals and business like Robbie’s,

Caribee Boat Sales and Marina, Caloosa Cove Resort and Marina, the Eatons, and Rose Duke and family went above and beyond in their contributions.” Zettwoch says that while some supporters doubled or tripled their initial contributions, ultimately there are too many to people to name and thank. Once the Islamorada Village Council learned of the fundraising campaign at its March 9 meeting, it committed Village dollars to procuring and training its Emergency Medical Responders on the new equipment. By March 15, the complete $19,000 had been raised, with donations for the device still pouring in. In the end, more than 65 individuals and businesses gave donations. All the donations came from individuals with direct connections to Lower Matecumbe Key. In all, the donations totaled more than $32,000. With the acquisition of the device, all three of Islamorada’s Fire Departments are now equipped with the LUCAS compression system. Its addition to the station brings much needed capability, said Fire Chief Terry Able.

“It frees up a responder to do other life-saving interventions. Keep in mind that it takes a minimum of two people doing compressions, because once the first person gets tired they have to switch out. So that is a constant rotation of staff and as they get fatigued, the effectiveness of the compressions decrease,” said Able. “With the LUCAS it never tires, it has 45 minutes of use per battery, we carry two, and we can plug it in as well.” Though the full cost of the device had been collected, Rivera still felt compelled to support Islamorada’s first responders. So he donated $10,000 to the village to help fund Pediatric Medical Trauma and Emergency Training for the department personnel. At a March 15 event in which the village thanked the Lower Matecumbe community for its contributions, Sergio’s brother, Peter Rivera, presented a check for the money raised to Islamorada Village Manager Seth Lawless.

AGAIN!

Another Gigantic Nautical Flea Market this weekend; traffic delays expected Weekly Staff Report

“W

e’re doing it again!” exclaimed Upper Keys Rotary President Frank Derfler at a recent club meeting. Last month, the club raised more than $250,000 for local scholarships and, since a majority of the club agreed with Derfler’s progressive comments that “no student should have to pay for college,” they decided to throw another event together – for this weekend. (Don Horton was the lone dissenting vote.) “Everyone knows what to do,” said Rotarian Nicole Kraus. “We called the vendors and all 200 will be back except for “Stingray Steve.” “This is my gift to the community,” added Derfler. “My swan song, if you will.” Thousands of bargain hunters of all ages and interests flock to

browse and buy among more than 200 vendor booths. Secondhand and show-price deals can be found on boats, boat parts, electronics, marine products, nautical gear, dock equipment, accessories and clothing for waterborne sports and recreation. No box of loose parts is left unturned as attendees search for an oddball fitting or deep discounts on fishing gear, rods, reels, line and lures or tools. Due to a scheduling conflict with the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce’s 26th annual Island Fest, the Flea Market will only take place over an eight hour period on Saturday, April 1 beginning at 8 a.m. Admission to the open-air event is free, although a $5 donation to a local scholarship fund is suggested. Money raised benefits the Upper Keys Rotary Foundation Scholarship fund. Event information: giganticnauticalfleamarket.org/aprilfools

BRIEFLY Tourists to sit on Marathon Council For the first time, two Marathon City Council seats will be filled by tourists. Under a change scheduled for a vote this week, Keys visitors staying at least five nights in Marathon will be eligible to seek one of the two two-year “guest” seats on the city council. “Let’s face it,” said Councilman John Bartus, who proposed the change, “we’re spending their money. It’s only right that they get a seat at the table.” The city council is expected to approve the change at its April 1 meeting, scheduled to begin when Freddie Bye takes his first break at the Brass Monkey. The measure will require the removal of two current council members. That removal, under the plan, would follow the same procedure as the recently enacted procedure for choosing a mayor.

MONROE COUNTY

UPPER KEYS WEEKLY / MARCH 31, 2017

TDC explores new marketing initiatives Agency seeks to attract new visitors Weekly Staff Report

$40 million is a lot of money. Every year, the Tourist Development Council collects that in bed tax revenues from Florida Keys visitors. Most would say the money is spent wisely and drives the economic engine of the county. Others think it could be spent better. At a meeting on Tuesday, the TDC voted to try some new marketing campaigns to improve the visitor experience while silencing some of their harsher critics. Below is a short synopsis of the four microplans:

• CORPORATE SUBSIDIES. Big corporations like Payless shoe store, Sears, and Kmart are on the brink of bankruptcy and as more of the big retailers close, they are leaving gaping holes in the Keys’ commercial infrastructure. Big Pine resident Cleophis Rankdale has been a proud member of the Radio Shack battery club for years. “Those tourists fund Fantasy Fest,” said Rankdale. “And my remote control needs weird batteries.” The subsidy amounts are still being worked out, but are reportedly generous. “People WANT to buy those useless beach umbrella screws for the sand, and there’s just nowhere else that sells them except Kmart,” said the same source. “You can’t get that from the artisans at Mallory Square.”

• New law enforcement uniforms. In an effort to seem less forbidding to carefree visitors on vacation, the TDC has approached the Monroe County sheriff’s office regarding new uniforms: Short shorts, in the traditional forest green, paired with Vibram Five Finger toe shoes for better mobility. “I’m just worried that my badge is going to tear the thin fabric of our dri-FIT® racer-back tanks when I try to pin it on,” said MCSO Captain Jonathan Crane. “And where am I going to put my gun?”

• Endorsements. To reach a younger and more hip audience, the TDC has signed an endorsement deal with Monroe County Commissioner Sylvia Murphy, 81, who has agreed to push the Keys on her Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts (#NoKeysHaters). She will also create a TDC-funded video at the Southernmost Point to the tune of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.” “I think the first person I will call is Miami rapper Pit Bull,” Sylvia said. “If anyone has his MySpace page, beeper number, or street address so I can write him a letter, I would appreciate it if they passed it along.” • More traffic. TDC officials worry that some members of groups traveling to the Keys are missing “the good stuff.” And, so, they are planning a campaign to suggest to visitors traveling as a group that each person bring their own car, or Segway, provided it can achieve speeds of 30 mph. “Some people worry this will create extra traffic,” said Marathon Councilman John Bartus, who uses his “down time” in traffic to beat his high score at Candy Crush. Bartus has written to the software game developers, encouraging them to add a feature wherein users can tag their location — i.e., #StuckOnOverseas. “Check-ins are good,” said Bartus.

BRIEFLY City offers solution to Triangle Traffic After five years of continuous traffic jams, accidents and aggressive driving incidents surrounding the northern “triangle” roadway leading in and out of Key West, City officials recently announced a handful of proposed solutions. Recently, city officials discovered the lights along Cross Street and MacDonald Avenue, both under county jurisdiction, were not synchronized with city stoplights. “I think this was something Sunny McCoy did as a joke back in the ’80s,” said Commissioner Jimmy Weekley. “Problem is, we all forgot about it.” However, the city has proposed several ideas that could provide immediate relief to commuters. At an upcoming April 11 meeting, the city will review an idea proposed by local resident Jay Hall. “I live in the Golf Club and I’ve always grabbed my newspaper from those guys in the middle of the triangle,” said Hall. “And then it hit me. We could have those guys operate the red lights as they sell newspapers.” If passed, City Manager Jim Scholl says, the city could consider a similar “no nonsense” approach to other issues facing the city such as constructing underground tunnels and overhead bridges to make crosswalks safer. City officials anticipate a response from the state Department of Transportation in two years, or as soon as 18 months. ‘Turtle Highway’ plan before Congress An eight-lane elevated toll road that would run from Key Largo to Key West is part of a federal infrastructure plan expected to be introduced soon in Congress. The route, to be called the Turtle Highway, is projected to cost $110 billion. It would be built using funds from the Mexican government’s repayment to the U.S. for building a wall along the border between the two countries. The superhighway is part of a massive infrastructure proposal scheduled to be introduced on April 1 by the White House. (Thank you, Trump.) Officials say the elevated highway would be built above existing roads and bridges in the Keys. The existing route, U.S. 1, would be generally limited to use by Keys residents, although visitors would be allowed to use it with an “Iguana Pass,” obtained at service plazas along the elevated route. Those passes are expected to cost $500 per year. Revenue from the passes would go to the Tourist Development Council.

ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUP FIGHTS FOR MOSQUITO SANCTUARY 32-acre preserve would cost $12 million Weekly Staff Report

“H

ow is the life of a deer more endearing than that of a mosquito?” That’s what Nancy Bitzman, chairman of LCILB (Love Comes in Little Bites) is asking Monroe County Commissioners. LCILB, which calls itself a for-profit animal rights group, has been fighting against “mosquito cruelty” in coastal areas since 1989. Currently, the group is seeking a $12 million “mosquito sanctuary” along 32 acres centered between Rockland Key and Big Coppitt. “The Florida Keys are guilty of the mass genocide of billions of innocent creatures,” said Bitzman. “What we are proposing is no different than the Key deer sanctuary on Big Pine.” In addition, the LCILB, based out of Berkley California, has proposed a $4 million dollar mosquito protection net that would cover the proposed land area, along with demands that limit air, auto and foot traffic to the area.

Let them bite you! Give their children a chance!

However, many argue the mosquito sanctuary will cost millions in wasted tax dollars and is a direct conflict with the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, which currently works to eliminate mosquitos in the county. “First I had to fight against GMOs in my back yard,” said Key Haven resident Jim Wilson, where GMOs were literally proposed for his back yard. “And now these guys want to place a mosquito factory just above our neighborhood. What’s next? An iguana sanctuary?” LCILB has discussed a phase two to go along with the mosquito proposal, which would include added rights for iguanas. Over the last decade, the group has successfully imposed mosquito, rat, snake and roach sanctuaries in areas such as Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Trenton in New Jersey, and Flint, Michigan. “We have to be sensitive to their demands and take this very seriously,” said Monroe County Mayor George Neugent. “We are currently reviewing their proposal and trying to find a compromise suitable for both sides.”

Monroe County Commissioners have until July of 2017 to counter the group’s proposal. After that time, Bitzman says the county will be subject to severe legal penalties and national scrutiny. “I always hear people brag about ‘one human family’ in Key West,” said Bitzman. “Well, I guess the mosquitos didn’t get the memo. How would the Keys look to the rest of the world if everyone knew they slaughtered innocent creatures?” Currently, Mayor Neugent believes a compromise for the sanctuary can be made for a fraction of the cost, with the mosquito sanctuary located just above Key Haven. “I believe this can be a burden shared by Key Haven residents,” said Neugent. “After all, they brought this on us by placing national attention on the GMO opposition.”

Island Community Entertainment’s premier outdoor music festival, Bay Jam, returned for another year of toe-tapping fun from some of the Upper Keys’ most talented musicians. True to its promise of inviting quality performers, Bay Jam featured nine acts throughout the day. Under the direction of David Feder, musicians from the various acts also came together for a jam session. The collaboration was totally improvised. “Bloodline” star Norbert Leo Butz also performed at the festival, much to the delight of the crowd. CSHS STUDENT OF THE WEEK

UPPER KEYS WEEKLY / MARCH 31, 2017 The Upper Keys Weekly is proud to partner with Coral Shores High School faculty and students in choosing “The Student of the Week.” Recipients are chosen on a myriad of qualifications ranging from academic standing, athletics, outstanding achievements, community involvement, individuality and moral fortitude. We thank our future leaders and CSHS for allowing us to share in a weekly dose of “Cane Pride.”

What class do you think has best prepared you for life after high school and why? I would probably say my culinary class. I’ve learned how to run a culinary business and how to apply for work in this career. Even though it isn’t what I want to do in the future, it will certainly help me in many other career choices. Instagram or Snapchat? What’s your favorite filter? I don’t usually use social media, but of these I generally use Snapchat. When I do use it, I don’t take pictures of myself, therefore I don’t have a favorite filter. What are your plans after high school? Besides going to the University of Florida, I’m not sure. I don’t know what I want to become or even what subject path I want to take. Do you think you will make the Keys your permanent home? Why or why not? I won’t make it my permanent home. The kind of place I want to live in has a lot less heat and has a major city nearby. Finish this sentence: Living in the Keys has taught me… how to run a business.

SOPHOMORE

Who has been your biggest inspiration at CSHS and why? Mr. Ellsworth because he is the only teacher I’ve seen that can be kind and strict at the same time, which is a rare combination. I thoroughly enjoy his class.

JERI GOLDBERG

What organizations and activities are you involved with at CSHS and why are they important to you? I’m in Key Club. I love helping the community and Mrs. Truesdale, who could always use more funding for the club. I also am in the Anime Club. I do a lot outside of school so I don’t have a lot of time to hang out with friends. So the club is one of the best opportunities I have.
