I am delighted to welcome you to our 2016 Keystone Rugby lunch. This year we are thrilled to have the support of Winger Maserati as event sponsors. This is a great partnership and I am certain that everyone here will join me in thanking Wayne Leach and his team for supporting Keystone Trust. As always the lunch has been eagerly anticipated, and we promise not to disappoint as we welcome along our Legends of rugby Stu Wilson and Gareth Davies. We are also delighted to have Warren Gatland with us today, Warren will be joining Stu and Gareth when they catch up with Andrew later in the afternoon. We certainly have quite a strong Welsh contingent joining us, and I would also like to mention the recently appointed CEO of the WRU, Martyn Phillips, who is here today. Before we settle in we must acknowledge what draws us together. Although supporting outstanding studentsâ€™ tertiary education through financial contributions, is at the heart of what we do, the valuable wrap-around pastoral care, including mentoring and networking, is what sets us apart. We have had an outstanding year at Keystone Trust, with student numbers increasing, this is thanks to the support from our industry sponsors. We presently have twenty eight sponsors in the Keystone family and I would like to draw your attention to this group detailed in the programme. Their unwavering dedication and passion for Keystone has ensured we remain a primary source for scholarship funding in our sector. This year we launched the Keystone Foundation with the objective of providing long term financial independence for the Trust. I am looking forward to working with my fellow Guardians as we bring this goal to fruition. Andrew Mulligan

He can’t stay away and we can’t get enough! Andrew is once again presenting the Keystone Rugby Lunch. He’s a familiar face as co-presenter of Prime TV’s ‘The Crowd Goes Wild’, Radio Sports ‘Crowd Goes Wild Breakfast’ and is commentator for the New Zealand Breakers. Andrew will keep us on task and entertained throughout today’s afternoon of rugby.

Davies

Welshman Gareth Davies is a former Wales and Lions international rugby union player, playing fly-half. With 22 caps in total, a triple crown and the honour of captaining a number of games, Gareth most definitely can provide us with a solid insight to the game. He also still remains heavily involved in the rugby world and has been Chairman of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2014.

Wilson

Stu Wilson, an All Black wing from the late 70’s-80’s, received 34 AB caps in his career, retiring in 1984. He played for Wellington and New Zealand, captaining the national team in the 1983 tour of Scotland and England. Following his retirement he became a rugby commentator and still remains heavily involved in the rugby world today.

Gatland

As head coach of Wales, Warren Gatland, can definitely provide us with a personal insight on tomorrows game. Warren has a extensive career as both coach and player, coaching the British & Irish Lions, Connacht, Ireland, London Wasps and more close to home Waikato. As a player he was one of Waikato’s longest-serving players, having played 140 games - a record at the time.
