Not all reunification looks the same Not all result in the person going back home.

But all result in joy and connections, with family and extended family.

It results in relationships being restored as the person finds some roots.

AND

It is about choices, and good detective work.

It helps us remember that each individual is different, their circumstances are different as are their choices.

So…. What does that mean

That choices are a big part of providing persons with Intellectual and developmental disabilities the right to choose for themselves.

Not everyone wants to go home. They may just want to reconnect and have a relationship.
