This certificate program introduces students to core business concepts. Students will also develop communication, technical, and accounting decision-making skills needed for the contemporary business environment. Students completing this curriculum with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher will receive a certificate in foundations of business management. This certificate can be added to any associate or bachelor’s degree seeking student’s program of study. The certificate can also be earned as a stand-alone credential. Stand alone certificate programs are not eligible for financial aid. Students completing certificate programs while also pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree may be eligible for financial aid. The certificate in customer service provides students introductory concepts concerning customer relations, proper formatting and writing for business correspondence, verbal and nonverbal communication, and conflict management. Medical Billing and Coding Certificate

Medical billing and coding specialists are responsible for translating and sequencing medical documentation into formal standardized, numerical codes for diagnoses and procedures. Medical billing and coding supports the billing process by coding and processing claims. This program prepares individual for employment in the medical community that involve medical billing, coding, and claims processing. Various organizations in the community offer opportunities for employment including medical practices, hospitals, nursing/rehab facilities, coding and billing services, insurance companies, government agencies, and consulting firms. Students completing this curriculum with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher will receive a certificate in medical billing and coding. Paralegal Certificate

The certificate in paralegal program is designed to prepare students in the theory and ethics of legal practice. Students entering this program must either be a current Keystone College student or must currently possess an associate degree or bachelor’s degree from any accredited institution. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)

The Child Developmental Associate Credential is a nationally recognized credential administered by the National Council for Professional Recognition Programs in Washington D.C. The credential requires the creation of a professional portfolio and is offered to individuals employed in early child care facilities. The College offers instruction, which meets the CDA requirements through the following coursework:

Pennsylvania Director’s Credential

Keystone College offers the nine-credit PA Director Credential program administered by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development for individuals who are employed in director positions in certified child care facilities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The credential details instructional competency outcomes that are achieved through participation in the following coursework:
