This part of the administrative year is the time for clubs' election, installation and induction. As Governor, I want to do my best by ensuring everyone is aware of the proceeding of each event that is normally planned and executed by club leaders. WHAT IS AN INSTALLATION CEREMONY? By Governor Thasleema Photograph by Yohan Davis

KEY GUIDE

- 4 -

An Installation is a formal ceremony hosted by each club to retire the previous board and as the word states, install the new board. It is very similar to what is seen on the last Day of DCON when the previous district board walks off the stage and new body walks on. This should be void of any games and activity however it can be done after the adjournment of the meeting. NOMADIC

Tips N' Tricks

1

IPP means Immediate Past President. The President of the 2019 - 2020 starts the agenda and the President of the incoming administration, 2020 - 2021, terminates the ceremony.

An Induction ceremony is very similar to

2

an Installation ceremony. The difference is that you will be not be retiring the board but welcoming the new members by handing them their ID, certificate, handbook and Key Club International badge before reaffirming the Aims and Objectives together.

3

Always have an head table at a formal event for the distinguished guest such as your Lieutenant Governor. A head table is comprised of the executive body and distinguished invites. - 9 -

An Induction or Installation

ceremony can have a Guest Speaker if discussed and agreed upon by the planning committee. Typically, an installation planning committee is comprised of the incoming board members and supervised by the outgoing to asses the event planning and executing skills of the incoming board members.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH 2020 - 2021 PRESIDENT

RETIREMENT SPEECH

2019 - 2020 PRESIDENT

SPEECHES

2020 - 2021 SECRETARY

VOTE OF THANKS

STARTERSPEECHES

Retirement As the president of the previous administration, I am happy to say it was a joyous time leading; however my time has come to an end. During my administration tenure, my team and I endured many challenges. Although these challenges tested our patience towards each other and as a board, I can proudly say that we preserved. Cohesively, we bonded and made the best of what we had. It was truly a pleasure and as I look unto the leaders you have chosen for the next administration. I know the Key Club of John Brown will do even better to build strong relations with board members, club members and our Kiwanis family for these individuals all have to lead and serve you. Thank you for a tremendous year and endeavors. It has thought me a lot.

Acceptance It is an honour to serve you as the president of John Brown for the year 2019 – 2020. I look forward in piloting this ship into new waters. I plan to work alongside you, the members to accomplish my administrative goals stated and most importantly develop the relationship with my team that I observed from my predecessor. Thank for this opportunity and let's make 2020 - 2021, a memorable year for John Brown's Key Club.

Vote of Thanks I consider it a great privilege to propose a vote of thanks to all the members and distinguished guest who have witnessed this moment as a memorable and successful event. Thank you to the members that work tirelessly to ensure everything was prepared for today, the Lieutenant Governor, for being here to retire and install the administrative body of John Brown School. I can not express how grateful we are of the turn out of today's event and I wish everyone a safe journey home. Thank You! Caring, Our Way Of Life
