ACTIVITIES AND DONATIONS
MARCH OF DIMES ENDED MAY 15
VIRTUAL MARCH March for Babies and March of Dimes is virtual this year! Every step one takes at home will be converted to money and was donated to help research and advocate for policies that prioritize mother and baby health, along with helping with resources during this Covid-19 pandemic. People also wrote a note to a mom, dad or a family with a baby currently in the NICU, sharing: advice, experience and words of encouragement. A note to healthcare providers, nurses, and staff on the frontlines are also sent by our Key Clubbers and community.

THIRST PROJECT ONGOING
THE PROJECT
We invited our Key Clubbers to attend the Thirst Webinar on May 29th. The volunteers explained the water crisis in depth.
The Thirst Project is a nonprofit organization that is inspired to end the global water crisis by building freshwater wells in developing communities. Safe, clean drinking water prevents deaths and health problems from waterborne diseases that easily kill small children and people with weak or compromised immune systems.
THIRST WEBINAR
PROJECT GIVING THANKS ONGOING A group of high schoolers in Arcadia High School in California created Project Giving Thanks that aims to spread positivity to essential workers through words during this crisis.
Our Key Club members thanked essential workers, first responders, healthcare workers, grocery workers by sharing post-it messages, artwork, or even a video.

Our Key Club members contributed by submitting their testimony, photos, and videos from home.
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT MONTH OF MAY
DAMIAN YOUNG
"I found some photos of Damian in my camera roll that I almost forgot about. You're welcome." Editor
Hi, my name is Damian Young. I have been a member of Key Club since halfway through my freshman year. Key Club has been an extraordinary experience for me. Key Club has offered many opportunities to raise awareness for many causes, set up and celebrate various events.
Along the way, I have made many friends from different schools and even befriended some people volunteering at the events. I'd say Key Club has been beneficial for me because I believe I have been more productive and gained skills to help me later on in life. Although waking up very early for some of the events is not ideal, I still strongly encourage people to join our club and to participate in the many events throughout the year.

My heart goes out to those advocating for the black lives matter movement. We will keep fighting for the name of those who lost their life due to excess force of police just because of the color of one's skin. I urge everyone to keep fighting yet stay safe! There are a multitude of ways to contribute. We are all equal.
