China Day... is the event that kicks off Francis Lewis' Key Club's October! Here, we celebrate China with an explosion of culture. Our volunteers had a blast dancing, holding decorations, and enjoying the festival. Some of our members even got to dance with a dragon! The weather was also fair, so it was a comfortable day to be out.
IT'S MY PARK DAY
OCTOBER 5
October 5th was a wonderful day for Key Club to clean up and beautify Hoover Playgrounds! Our members worked hard to make the playground more welcoming and improved its aesthetic. They shoveled, planted, and toiled to give the community a better, more beautiful place to enjoy. Though few attended, these members worked extra hard to make up lack in quantity.

Walk to Cure Lupus
Even though the weather begins to chill, our Key Clubbers are still fired up! They did not walk, but these members warmed their hearts and others by giving their all to help make this event the best it could be. Their efforts were rewarded with a memorable shirt! KEY CLUB 2019

2019'S FALL RALLY october 13
Division 8's annual Fall Rally was a huge success! Fall Rally is a preview for new members who want to learn more about Key Club, or for the ambitious few looking to delve deeper into Key Club by becoming board members! Most of our club's board attended, and we had a few other eager members go as well. Everyone dressed sharp, but still had a great time! Between workshops and lunch, every member found something for them to enjoy.

MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER A huge turnout for a very important cause: Key Club is on the scene! On October 20th, our members attended a walk to aid those with breast cancer. Our support was much obliges, and we made a considerable contribution to the walk force. Key Clubbers were able to hear stories about those who went through breast cancer, or knew someone who did, and by attending the walk, they were able to sympathize more. Although it was a chilly say, the walk itself was beautiful.

LIGHT THE NIGHT SUPER ATTENDANCE: 67 MEMBERS!
October 26th's Light the Night is the biggest event for Key Club during the month of October. Our club had a total of 67 attendees, not including the many other Key Clubs in the area. Our members walked in support for those with leukemia. Given colorful lanterns, we marched alongside tons of other people who wished to express their support for this cause as well. The weather was chilly, and the walk was, for the most part, at night, but our members persevered and did their part. We had fun and got to meet fellow Key Clubbers from different schools!
