VISUAL MEDIA I love to travel to new places I am Albanian My favorite color is red Key Club has made me love my community and has led me to meet many new people at various different events. Being able to help others all while having fun has been a great experience.

LIVIA BRAHAJ I hope to major in biology to become a physician assistant I like to watch netflix and anime or search for clothing I am a Chinese-American I joined Key Club at the beginning of my sophomore year primarily because at the time I was not involved in any other activities. However, I have grown to enjoy being a member of Key Club because of the countless memories and friendships I’ve been able to make.

I am currently a freshman, soon to be sophomore. I’m glad to be apart of such a diverse and talented group of people that share the passion of helping others. I am so excited to be working with all of you and hope that we create fun and exciting memories together!

RELAY FOR LIFE OF BROOKLYN ENDED JUNE 5TH
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY The American Cancer Society made a fundraiser missioned to help communities fight against cancer.
To help, we can donate and raise awareness in our communities to make a difference. For Relay Week, Relay for Life of Brooklyn posted messages and videos submitted by our members to honor caregivers and survivors.

We had our second divisional the 29th. It was a success! We played Kahoot and went over district and division updates, service hour opportunities, and other important events. Thank you to Alvin (LTG) for working hard and to whoever went!

PROJECT GIVING THANKS ONGOING A group of high schoolers at Arcadia High School in California created Project Giving Thanks. They aim to spread positivity to essential workers during the coronavirus panic.

QUEENS MEMORY COVID PROJECT ONGOING
We asked our Key Club members to contribute by submitting their testimony, photos, and videos from home.
The Queens College Library and Queens Public Library created the Queens Memory COVID-19 Project, a borough-wide archiving campaign collecting personal stories of people in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic.

FATUMATA DIA HELLO, MY NAME IS FATUMATA DIA BUT I GO BY FATIMA. DESPITE BEING ONLY A FRESHMAN, KEY CLUB HAS BEEN AMAZING. STARTING HIGH SCHOOL I WANTED TO BE APART OF SOMETHING BIGGER THAN MYSELF AND HAPPEN TO STUMBLE UPON THIS CLUB. SINCE THEN, I’VE LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING DETERMINED AND ALSO HELPING COMMUNITIES. I’M GLAD THAT I’VE ALSO LEARNED TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE. ALONG THE WAY I’VE ALSO HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET STUDENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS WHO CARE ABOUT HELPING THE COMMUNITY AS MUCH AS I DO. BEING IN KEY CLUB HAS DEFINITELY BEEN ONE OF THE BEST CHOICES I’VE MADE SO FAR IN HIGH SCHOOL. I HOPE TO GET TO KNOW EVERYONE AND WILL CONTINUE TO STAY COMMITTED TO THIS CLUB. HAVE A GOOD DAY!!!

As pride month comes to an end, I hope everyone embraced their individuality and others' uniqueness as well. Remember to be kind and keep open minds as you approach new ideas. Also, you should always be yourself no matter what! Those who bring you down just don't have anything else to do. Happy Pride Month Key Club! I would also like to congratulate the Class of 2020 for graduating! No one expected this pandemic to affect the last memories that a senior would have before leaving for college or other future plans.
