Wynnum Central Renaisssance Wynnum Central precinct is on the up with a string of new businesses opening adding to the mix of boutiques, homewares, cafes and health services. Edith Street is a focus with the moves of Aaalora Florist and Dolls & Doilies from their previous Bay Terrace outlets. Nearby Distressed has opened on the site of the former Wynnum Loans shop providing an eclectic mix of Home Décor, Furniture, Coffee Shop.

SHIRE CLERK COTTAGE CELEBRATES ITS 130th BIRTHDAY The historic Shire Clerk Cottage on Tingal Road is celebrating 130 years with a Spring Fair on Saturday October 17th. 70 plus market stalls will be showcasing local art and craft groups. The Cottage will be offering their popular Devonshire Teas on the veranda with vintage cars on display

in front of the cottage. For the children there will be a few Ekka treats for those who missed out on this year. At 11am invited VIP guests will cut the birthday cake. The Spring Fair is from 8am to 1pm at 241 Tingal Road in the grounds of the cottage with stalls also in the Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre.

Wynnum is fast becoming a Homewares centre with the existing outlets of Cultivate Design, Florence & Cornelius & The Collective Store in addition to the boutiques of Sobidah Clothing, Simply Bella & GotA-Go. Visit Wynnum Manly Manger Kevin Liepins commented “The stores are catering to the many new residents living in or close to the Wynnum CBD and is a vote of confidence

with the new cinema opening in 2021.” Cedar & Pine has reopened with a fresh new look and and a new look Beer Garden. New owner Clare Anderson is in the helm at the popular Pet Friendly Frenchies Cafe and a new cafe has opened at the end of the arcade next to Lammonds. Wynnum Wellbeing Centre in Bay Terrace is making Wynnum a Health Hub with several new tenants including Bayside Hand Therapy. A steakhouse is planned within the centre.
