Cheers to 50 years at The Manly Hotel This March marked the 50 year anniversary of the McDonald family running The Manly Hotel. Since taking over the licence in 1970 the McDonald family has seen extensive renovations to the hotel over the decades with the opening of a restaurant, Liquor Barn, beergarden and a TAB & Clipper gaming lounge.

In the same period they have doubled the number of employees, built three external bottleshops and the Manly Marina Cove Hotel. Sandy McDonald said “50 years is quite a long team for a business to survive and maintain its relevance to its community. We have survived many a challenge over the years with forward thinking and our family of workers.”
