Did You Know?

Cambridge Parade, Manly Named in the “Manly Beach Estate” sale of January 1st 1892 where all the streets leading to the bay had the names of military personnel.

George William Cambridge (1819-1904) was a Field Marshall and Commander in charge of the British Army for 39 years. He was the youngest son of George III. In 1882 the upper portion of the street was known as Ferguson Street and the lower seaward end was known as Laidlaw Parade.
