Born in South Bend, Indiana on September 22, 1949, Michael was a resident of Kearny for 70 years. He proudly served in the Marines during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He was a graduate of Kearny High School Class of 1968, earned his bachelor’s degree at Kean College, and later received his master’s degree from Montclair State University. He was a dedicated coach, passing on his love of the games to the next generation. Mike coached Kearny Recreation Sports, the Saturday Basketball Biddy League, Minor League and Colt League Baseball. Mike was the beloved husband of 40 years to Karen (nee Cassese) Reilly. In lieu of
