FRANCIS J. MCALLISTER Francis J. McAllister, 39, of Kearny, died at home Aug. 23, 2021. A funeral service was celebrated at the First Presbyterian Church, Kearny. Cremation was private. The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, Kearny, was in charge. Born in Belleville, Frankie was a lifelong Kearny resident. A graduate of Kearny High School, Frank was a great soccer player there, and later coached soccer for St. Peter’s Prep, Jersey City. He was also a dedicated fan of Rangers F.C. Frank was a proud firefighter for the Town of Kearny. A true hero, Frank always put others before himself. He loved his friends dearly, and could be counted on anytime someone was in need. Frankie had a huge heart, and all who knew and loved him were truly blessed. Frank was the dear son of Thomas and Janet (nee Logan) McAllister; beloved husband of Emily (nee Dolaghan) McAllister; and was the loving father-to-be of Callum Thomas. Frank was also the cherished brother of Heather McAllister and her husband Richard and Lorraine McAllister; son-in-law of Thomas and Cynthia Dolaghan, and brother-in-law of John and Thomas Dolaghan. He is also survived by his dear Godmother Betty Wason, by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and God-daughters and by his faithful dog, Rugby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a college fund to be set up for Callum Thomas McAllister. PETER F. WNOROSKI Peter F. Wnoroski, 86, of Kearny, died Aug. 22, 2021.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny. Entombment was Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, Kearny, was in charge. Born in Newark, Pete has lived in Kearny for 48 years. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Pete worked for PSE&G, first as a meter reader he and retired as a customer-service representative there 25 years ago. He then worked as a bus driver for special needs children at Cross Country Transportation for 20 years. Pete enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City. He treasured the simple things in life, like a hot cup of coffee, or a cold Budweiser. Pete was fastidious in caring for his shoes, being sure to always keep them at a high polish. An avid gardener, he most of all treasured time spent with his loving family. The son of the late Benjamin and Mary (nee Wujek) Wnoroski, Pete was the beloved husband to Dale (nee Walther) Wnoroski. He was the loving father of Dawn Wnoroski, Jennifer Rego and her husband Robert, Michael Wnoroski and the late Peter F. Wnoroski Jr., and cherished
