ewer than 24 hours before the annual Army-Navy football game, this year at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, runners from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, were in North Arlington with the game football. They ran from West Point to East Rutherford, and stopped Friday, Dec. 10, at Zadroga Field, North Arlington, to pay respects to the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America. Mayor Daniel H. Pronti, members of the Borough Council and many first responders and residents greeted the runners, whose next stop thereafter was the end of the road — at Metlife Stadium, one day before the game. Navy won, 17-13, in front of 82,282 fans.
