It’s a new year and with it comes a new look to The Observer, a 131-year tradition in the community.

WELCOME TO 2019 AND A BRAND NEW look for the print edition of The Observer. Our co-owner and Advertising Director Lisa Feorenzo decided over the summer she wanted to see a fresh overhaul of the pages of the newspaper — the first of its kind in
many years — and what you’ll see today is the beginning of the net results. Graphic Designer Michelle Rybeck spent countless hours preparing the new look — fresh with new fonts, section headers and more — so that when you read the newspaper, it’s much easier on the eyes ... and extremely crisp. We hope you like what you see.
In the coming weeks, there may be a few more changes as well. We’ve also eliminated AroundTown, but press releases that would normally be there will be sprinkled throughout the newspaper — so be sure to look for them ... you never know where you might find them. From all of us at The Observer, here’s wishing all of our readers and advertisers the best in 2019!
