John W. Plikaitis died Sept. 18, 2021. He was 83. Born in Newark, he was a lifelong Kearny resident. Private arrangements were by Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. John was the co-owner of Walter’s Deli in Kearny for many years. He served in the Air Force from 1956 through 1960. He is survived by his sisters

Donald Robertson, 85, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in Complete Care at Laurelton, Brick. Relatives and friends visited the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, Kearny, on Sept. 25. Cremation was private. Born in Staten Island, Mr. Robertson had lived in North
Arlington since 1939. He purchased his second home in Bay Head in 1962. Donald graduated from Upsala College in East Orange in 1958 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was a district sales supervisor for the energy division of Zurn Industries in Rochelle Park, NJ for 33 years before retiring in 1993. Douglas Scot Robertson (Elizabeth) of Clifton Park, New York, Heather Elizabeth Robertson of Bay Head and Megan Anne Fairfield (Schuyler), of Küsnacht, Switzerland. He was the grandfather of Sabrina and Alec Fairfield. Donald was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Robertson.
